Spending three days travelling to the French Alps in August, (and three back after a weeks stay).
I would appreciate any info on a good scenic route, (or routes), taking in any places of interest.
We will be camping en-route.

Cheers.

Peter.

I posted on your other thread as well...

I would use www.viamichelin.com and click on the 'scenic' option !

We always go the most direct route from Calais - Arras - Reims - Beaune - Lyon - Albertville - Moutiers and up the hill.

Wherabouts are you staying in the 3 Valleys?

Cool. That is in Les Menuires is it not?

Make sure you take a trip upto Val Thorens - you maybe able to get some skiing in on the glacier!

We do that drive every year and it's awesome! Val Theron Glacier is worth a visit but the lifts are slow and it's another 5 to 10 degrees colder up there so wrap up warm! The restaurant at the bottom of the Glacier is really worth going to for lunch.
