Hi all,
Last time I posted here I was given the most perfect and fun roads that my journey went from a nightmare one to one that I didn't want to end!

I am on J23 of the M25 and going down to Devon (EX13 post code) in a couple of weeks in the TVR Chimaera on a Saturday morning. Does anyone know of a good route or some good roads to take it for some fun on the way? I am expecting it will be M25 to start but then there might be some great roads to take in?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Ian, random question, but where are you heading to? I grew up in EX13. Dalwood to be precise.

On a mor constructive note I was going to try and find a fun way back there after a business trip to Wiltshire the other day. The trip failed to materialise, but I did get some suggestions on this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

If you want any suggestions for roads at the other end let me know! I tend to take the A303 all the way to The Old Taunton Road, but the A356 that goes from the A303 into Crewkerne is pretty good. You can then pick up either the road that goes via Cricket St Thomas (turn off imediately the 50mph limit and take the road across to Perry St) or head up Lyme Road in Crewkerne and take the Marshwood Road that runs through Birdsmoorgate.

If you're used to driving round here you'll find that even the most boring trip out to the shops is a whole other experience in that part of the world. Can also highly recommend taking the A373 out from Honiton, then nipping up the M5 briefly and exploring Exmoor for a couple of hours.

You can probably guess I could go on like this for hours. PM me if you want any specific ideas.

I hate living driving in London these days...

How funny! Dalwood is where I am going!

The wife's grandparents live there and have done for about 10 years! Lovely roads as you say but a to B neevr quite catches the good ones.

Will PM you.
