Been living here years now and still yet to find any really great drivers roads. Any roads worth seeking out? Willing to get up early to beat the traffic.

I'm based in Maidstone, in the middle of the county. Have driven some decent country lanes but looking for something a little more open (or even better, roundabout strewn) for my current M3, which isn't really at home on lumpy lanes.

There are some wonderful roads in Kent, just take an early start to get the best out of them, The roads around Rye are good and popular with bikers, look up the Military Road on the way out of Rye, just watch the ditches.

I'm sure Jaykaybi knows a few wink.

Plenty to choose from down that way

A20 out to Charing and then turn left up the Hill and head to Canterbury via Chilham.
B2068 Stone Street Canterbury to Hythe
A2070 Ashford to Rye
A28 Chilham to Ashford

Yep A262 is lovely, also the A229 crosses that as well is pretty good. In fact anywhere in that area (Cranbrook, Tenterden Sissinghurst etc right down to the coast). A274 has a few nice sections between Sutton Valance and Headcorn

As Pied Piper said, Tenteten to Appledore on the B2080, then Military Road to Rye, turn right up the hill and then right again towards Iden, Wittersham and back to Tenterden, around 24 miles of bends and plenty driving fun to be had. Leave it to late and you'll just have loads of locals or holiday makers driving at 35 mph every F***ing where.
