Good driving roads SW of London

With the weather looking this good, I thought I would go for a bit of a joy-ride this weekend.

I live in Richmond so something ideally S/W/SW of London, as I dont want to have to go all the way around London.

So, any good driving roads? On way to Brighton perhaps?

Didnt manage to get down there this weekend... had to go to Oxford on Sat, which meant a "great" motorway run all the way.

Will try get out there bank holiday weekend
