so far it is looking like this

not sure exactly where each overnight stop will be apart from one or maybe two nights in Kendal mid route.....any roads/sights "not too miss" on my route please shout them out

starting a few miles to the west of Birmingham
head west into Mid wales and to Snowdonia
East and through the Peak District
North to the Yorkshire dales
North West into The Lake District
North East to Northumbria National Park
South East to North Yorkshire Moors

then head home

all the above is subject to change and open to all suggestions as I have the whole week off work

I Can't head further afield as my passport has run-out and I keep forgetting to renew it (otherwise this would be a "yay I'm off to the Nurburgring" thread) rolleyes

If you`re going to the Lake district then you really should go over `Wrynose Pass` and `Hardnott Pass`. Breathtaking... not fast, just challenging.

If your going to northumbria, then make your way to hexham, then cut across country to bellingham. From there head towards otterburn, then take the road to alnwick via rothbury. Very twisty and challenging including some 90 degree left hand bends over bridges. Was up that way last september and had a blast, this route being especially fun. By the way, the deli in rothbury is worth a look see as they do some fantastic grub, and the newcastle hotel across the road serves exhibition alelick

If all else fails then the road from newcastle to jedburgh up over carter bar is a good one
