The Next Chapter Seal Grey Porsche 911 Turbo
Discussion
Thought I would put up a quick post to show what I have replaced the Tamora with. Last Friday I picked up a Seal Grey 996 911 Turbo. My dream car that I had aimed to purchase by my 23rd birthday but after an excellent year and finding a bargain I got one early. Insurance is a killer still being 21 but not a huge rise from the TVR and worth every penny when I am in the drivers seat . Anyway heres a quick picture. Will be updated shortly with full specs and photos after I have detailed it. I will also be completing numerous jobs on it over the next few months to get it as immaculate as my Tamora the journal will be regularly updated with my OCD ways.

I am a student but run a business selling used carp fishing tackle and also have built my way up with cars starting from a £3000 mk6 fiesta. Every 3-6 months I sell my car and try to make a good profit on each whilst adding to my car fund. Like the property ladder but with cars...I have aims for each birthday as to what level car I want to have progressed to, as to give me a major drive to earn money!
Insurance is excellent thanks to admiral once again... online quote came out at £1349 but a phone call and explanation of how I have spent thousands with them in the last few years resulted in the chap coming back with a quote of £1106 after speaking to his manager. That is a 12 month policy and I usually have the 10 month policy which would have came out at less that £1000. That is with 0 years no claims as my no claims bonus are on my shed (2000 Mondeo) that I use to get to my university work placement and my fishing wagon.
The performance is yet again in another level even to the TVR. It pulls so strong and grips like its on rails. The built quality for a 10 year old car is second to none. Even with the loud exhaust there are no rattles to be heard inside or outside of the car. It feels so useable be it a cross country blast or a short journey through town to the gym. So far so very good!
List of jobs so far for the car:
To source a set of silver standard hollow spoke wheels and sell the black set (they have only just been refurbed in black by the previous owner and seems a shame to put back silver as they are truly immaculate... just not to my taste)
Remove and sell the Fabspeed exhaust (100 cell cats) and put the original one on that I have. (again not to my taste to noisy)
Respray Front bumper due to a few stone chips (still choosing a bodyshop for this so any midlands bodyshop reccomendations appreciated!)
Refurb Calipers due to lacquer peel causing them to look pink in areas and put fresh Porsche Decals on them.
Fit new front discs and pads (already got them as part of the sale)
New Rear Tyres (hopefully the set of silver wheels I get will come with good tyres)
Full Protection Detail
Full Gliptone Interior leather Clean
Re attach/replace exhaust heatshields
I will take more photos very soon just need the chance to give it a proper clay/polish/wax etc. Hopefully going to a Porsche show on Sunday in Warwick

leicestershire... its weird Its more expensive to insure things like civic type r's at my age than this. Its something to do with statistics I have been told. More 21 yr olds have crashed hot hatches than 911 turbos. Admiral will insure me on pretty much any supercar for this sort of price. Although I did a quote on my dream car a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale which came out over £2000. you need a parent and a girl around the same age as you as named drivers to get the best quotes. also park it on the street if you want to save a few hundred. weird I know but I save £300-400 a year by having it on the street rather than the garage. Do some admiral quotes yourself to see. People assume its cheaper to garage the car or park it on the driveway but with Admiral/elephant etc its the oppposite

I really dont get how some
Young people insure such beasts for so cheap yet 1.2's still cost me £1500+..
anyway, lovely car i prefer the black wheels on seal grey 911s too. Very jelous.
As said above it tends to come down to stats. I can insure my Dads Arnage for only a fraction more than I paid to insure my Integara.I really dont get how some
