Love the car, been following it on E36 forum.

Would love to do it to mine eventually.

Jam, think you had yours up for sale just after mine, decided not to sell in the end...

Must have been early 2008 ish maybe, time flies. Had lots of cars since, some alot more expensive than the touring and on paper miles better but there was just something about it that I miss.

Yours looks good, same colour. Smoked front indicators would set it off a treat.

I'm late to the thread, but lovely Beemer, Inki. If someone had shown me that colour on a chart, or on a piece of card in a dealership I expect I would turn my nose up, but it looks cracking actually on the car. thumbup

Saw your car today (about an hour ago actually) going down my local highstreet in traffic, sans kidney grill and everything. Looks absolutely fantastic, have to say, love the colour, the ///M kit and the Contours. Didn't used to like the way E36 tourings looked but yours really does look brilliant, and the S50 swap sounded pretty good from the bit I heard. Nice to see a PHer so local as well!

Bloody hell, it's a small world. From memory I was around Alperton as that where my bodyshop is. Thank you for the kind comments; much appreciated.

Enjoyed your post, and thought you might like to see AC's take on an M£ Touring

Bit tacky for my tastes. Inki's is much more subtle and appealing.

Agree, the front lights are too essex and i dont think Schinitzer have ever made a nice style of alloy wheel.

I stand to be corrected because my knowledge of AC is limited but that doesn't look like an official one.

Looks great to me. Personally I love the wheels, a classic design that really suits the e36

It looks like an officially converted car, has all the right bits, front spoiler, mirrors, wheels, skirts, steering wheel and gear knob. The only non original part looks to be the bonnet badge, ACS never made these. Main thing is it has the 3.2 litre engine so looks official to me. Easy to throw a parts catalogue at a car to make a look-a-like but not so easy to do an engine conversion to ACS spec, so for me it looks original and perfect.

I would change the headlights though.

I was not going to bother posting a reply, but seeing as someone who obviously know's what he is talking about has entered the Arena i figured you can have my two pence worth, yes the car is an original ACS supplied direct from the factory [believe it was 60k] and was the only one ever imported to the Uk, it was featured in Total BMW around 9 years ago, yes the lights and front badge are the only non original parts and yes ten years ago i loved them especially on side lights only.
The car came with full on Touring car ride hight adjustable suspension and brakes which whilst giving awesome handling on track and at speed was a complete bh on the speed humps of west london, that and the constant harrasment from the plod sadly meant i let the car go, still regret it because the car was a one off[hundreds of badged ACS very few real deals] and very well put together especially the interior which ACS had thrown enough carbon at to sink a small ferry!
Only BM i have now is a 4.8 x5 which feels like a barge in comparison!
Oh and yes i loved the wheels! Horses for courses!!

Great to know more about the car. As I said, my knowledge of ACS is not great, mainly because they not my cup of tea.

Know what you mean about the speed bumps; my Touring is on coilovers which is a slight pain in the arse living in West London.

The only roads without speed humps in west london are the main roads period, once counted 62 travelling from streatham to richmond whilst trying to use the back roads, X5 makes short work of them now :]
Good luck with your car i'll keep my eye out for it
