MK2 Golf VR6 Turbo
Discussion
Hello this is my new toy! picked it up last Saturday. had a very fun filled first week together.
So forgive the crappy shots. She's a proper beast, MK2 1986 golf with a 2.8 VR6 dropped in. It has been bored out too 2.9 with lumpy cam's, forged internals, and a Garret T3 hybrid. runs 2 maps on the Emerald k3 management. first map is 300bhp and the second, 350bhp with 380 foot pounds.

thanks guy's. well for the moment its staying as is. few cosmetic tweaks. and it needs a good detail at a bodyshop. and as soon as the I have collected enough, of the queens finest it will get a quafie LSD fitted. distant future has to be 4WD and more power or drop the engine in the back and rear wheel drive.
Verrrry sweet. As a 2.8, must be one of the old Corrado lumps? Not that it matters - sounds like it's been completely renewed anyway! But yeh, always wanted one after my G60, but was sick of it/other MK2s breaking down and near constant fettling. So I bought a newer one
Looks lovely!

What a car, I love this sort of thing. Is that a new aluminium head on there? It looks very fresh and shiny compared to the rest of the engine.
All I would do is get a nice exhaust on it, something a bit fresher looking, but I'd go for the same big-bore style, so when you go ripping past people they get a final reminder there is something a bit tasty under the bonnet
Whatever you do, don't wreck it with any of that "dub" st!

in previous life she was a show car "oxford edition" (the famous Dub peeps)hence all the hard to keep clean polished engine bits. the main styling tweak Im thinking of is a MK1 chin spoiler. I think it would go with the westy front better. as for silly low offset wheels even if I wanted to the wont get over the brakes.

I knew i recognised this car - remember seeing it years ago when i still had my mk2 and thinking it looked rather tasty. Always had a soft spot for mk2's with the V6.The grill is and always has been, for me at least, something i cant quite decide if i like more than the original or not but thats not really overly important to you! Otherwise its lovely and to echo others please dont go the whole silly offset / stretched tires route as its damn near perfect as it is for a modded golf.
