That's fantastic. Impressed with the lads driving skills too, I'd have probably ripped a wheel off on the first fence post at his age biggrin

That's awesome - I've no electrical skills, but I want a go - Don't suppose you've got a breakdown of the required bits for a 'tard like me do you?

Buy the plans here

http://www.lightning-cars.co.uk

They also supply many of the parts needed as kits such as the wheels.

I am in the process of building one of these for my son. I am having trouble understanding the instructions for the front end!
Does anybody have some photos of the axles they could post up please?

OP any chance you could post up a couple more pictures of the steering as the one I built for my soon using the standard cable steering as per plans, needs an up grade, now my son has got better at driving. Assume you have used rose joints at both ends? Did you build the rest of the steering to the plans?
Here is some pictures of my efforts.

How did I miss this first time round?

Definitely want to do one of these with my kids. Good practice before building a proper Caterham when they are older. biggrin

+1 here for pictures of peoples steering set-up. I can't get the cable tight enough to make it work!

I bought the plans for this ages ago and never got round to it. Maybe it's not too late?!
