Have you considered some spacers for the wheels? They look very tucked-in on the pics from your trip to the 'Ring.
Yeah wheels could do with spacers to fill the arches out but not a high priority at the moment as have other bits I want to buy first other than spacers smile

Good luck with the seats.

I have been lining up my Sparco Sprint to my Mx5, bolt to the floor jobby.

The generic Sparco/Recaro etc adaptors are straight, and the MX5 has two lump of reinforced metal for the rear bolts.

Mx5nutz has lots of options.

Enjoy.
Cheers

Should be ok as using the original runners from the old seats so will bolt to the standard fixing points.

Seats arrived today but too dark to take any pics, probably won't get round to trying to fit them till Friday.

Cheers

I'm the same with the seats would prefer to fit both as will look better, just have to find some thinner friends lol

Would love a Momo Prototipo, will get one eventually smile

Decided to try to make my centre console a little more interesting, brought these, a leather armrest cover from Top gaitors and a chrome gear surround

Before -

Gear surround wasnt a great fit but got it to fit in the end, stitching on the armrest and gearstick now match the Sparco's which looks better.

How it looks now and pic of it fitted smile

Big Update!

I brought a Black Supercharged car but ended up needing quiet a bit of work to get it up to scratch so decided to take the Charger set up off it and put it on this and sell it on.

Took it to Skuzzle Motorsport to swap the bits over from one car to the other and get it running ok and change the clutches.

Picked it up last week and goes well for a basic setup, the extra power is definately what the car needed biggrin

So Part that have been Fitted are:

Jackson Racing Supercharger Kit with standard pulley
Jackson Racing Powercard
Bipes
Intercooler
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
CAS O'ring and Cam Gasket changed

Probably other bits i've missed out, now a couple pics

Received my Rear Lip too so when I get a min i'll get it fitted smile

Great looking car!

How much extra power does the supercharger give?
Thanks

This setup on the other car made 175BHP so would think its making around the same on this one,so 40BHP increase smile

She's a beaut!

What's with the gawdy steering wheel though buddy? Shouldn't yours have had a Nardi on it from the factory?
Its the standard Momo Airbag wheel that came on this model, cant be assed with taking the airbag out TBH so probably just keep this one.

Would love a Momo Prototipo wheel tho biggrin

I had the same model...Had a Nardi-Torino non-airbag wheel (not the wooden rim but the plastic 3-spoke) and a Nardi-Torino gearknob too. Was it a factory extra do you think (the airbag)?

Also, in something as old as this the airbag probably isn't up to much and it would really benefit the look of the cockpit IMO just to swap out the big OEM plastic wheel smile
I thought the Airbag was a standard item on the later Mk1's, this ones a 98' might be wrong, might change it one day smile

I had an airbag in my 1994 model. Took it off and replaced it with the three spoke OEM Momo wheel which looks much better.

Th airbag removal looks complicated but it's actually very easy, if you're interested drop me an email and I'll show you how to do it.
Thanks for the offer, going to stick with this one for now, if I change it in the Future may need the info smile

Brought some new ARB links and new bolts as old ones looked a bit knackered, also brought some Black Hammerite to have a go at painting the Suspension Arms and ARB's while I was at it.

Been off last couple days so cracked on with the rear, what it looked like before I started -

and all done on the rears now, also repainted the brake Calipers -

Think they look alot better now painted and hopefully protect them from rust a bit more too.

Just got the front to do now smile

Looks like a tidy little '5. I'm going to paint the calipers on mine soon, did you take the pads and springs out of the caliper or just go for the super careful approach?
Cheers, I painted the calipers while on the car and with the pads in, just with a steady hand smile

Got a few things fixed on the car yesterday -

Fixed the coolant leak, turned out it was leaking from the drain plug, there was only the thread left on the old plug so coulndt remove it so had to drill the old one out and fit a new one.

The car had started to cut out when stopping the car, the revs where going to low and it would just cut out, so cut out at traffic lights or when you stopped, video I took to show it happening after the revs are coming down -

http://youtu.be/wB8adfhs3S8

Turned the Idle up a bit and gave the Carb a clean, seems to have fixed it and hasnt cut out since, if it comes back i'll probably have to either change or clean the Idle Control Valve.

In the vid you can hear the Supercharger belt making a sound, it was quiet loud and could hear the noise in the car so applied some Belt dressing to it to quiten it down and also stops the belt slipping.

Hoping for good weather the weekend as Driving upto Mercedes Benz World on Sunday for the Pistonheads S/S, looking forward to taking it for a longer drive driving
