Might you be keeping your old wheels or looking to pass them on at a reasonable price wink

Depends what is a reasonable price wink

I'll need to find some to new ones to replace them though!

Just thought I'd mention on here - This car has been stolen between Saturday night and tonight from Manchester/Salford.
If anyone sees it in the area, or anywhere, please get in touch on here!

I can wrap this up now: car was stolen at 8pm on Monday night from behind my apartment in Manchester, it was then found burnt out two miles away at 11pm.

Very nice! The contrast between the wheels and the white paintwork is nice. I would swap out the dodgy wooden gear stick though, it looks quite out of place! I hope you get plenty of enjoyment from this, I quite liked my MX5. White is definitely the best colour for these Japanese two seaters!

Baryonyx - possibly worth reading the content immediately prior to your post!

Sorry for the loss of your pride and joy, gutted for you. frown I really liked what you'd done to it.

It never fails to amaze me the depths people sink to.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your pride and joy - and hope you can get a replacement soon, another MX5, perhaps?

I know it's unlikely if they've torched it, but I hope the scumbags who stole it get caught and brought to justice.

Shocking to hear of that mate, hope you get yourself sorted with a similar/better motor soon and I'm sure karma will catch up with the thieves one day!

Probably won't be getting another car for at least a year or so now... it's made me skint!
I can't imagine insurance will offer me any more than £3/400 for it, and my insurance will be sky high now. frown

But I'll have another MX5 when I can afford it, for sure!

Thanks mate! I'm proper gutted.
Just shows how easy old cars are to steal, really. Should be a warning to other MX5 owners too TBH!
Removable steering wheel boss & a hardtop would probably improve security ten fold...

I'll bear that in mind..

I've been thinking about getting a hardtop soon. It lived in the wilds of London for 10yrs before, the owner got so fed up with people breaking in it was left permanently unlocked. Not ideal.

Bad luck OP. Theft, let alone vandalism, makes my blood boil.

Hope you get things sorted quickly.

Just read that now, what a bloody shame.

It seems in my local area, the only cars that get nicked for joy riding are MX5's and Golfs. I've never understood the Golf part though, it's not like a Golf is a fun car! Other cars getting stolen include Cosworths for stripping and selling and 4X4's for ram raiding. Thankfully, car theft is pretty rare though. It makes me absolutely sick, to think of low life scumbags who are worth nothing to anyone getting a second of pleasure or enjoyment in this life. It makes me even more sick to think that they do, in another man's car.
