That is such a lovely example, I love it. No daft wheels etc, top work. I don't mean to be nosey, but you mention it has been a challenge, why is that? If you don't mind me asking
Late 2007 ,overheating issues and running problems, thought headgasket.Turned out to be an inlet manifold gasket leak ,dripping of antifreeeze onto exhaust from
duff hose clip causing burning smell.
Late 2010 ,front prop broke, smashed up gearbox and front diff casings. Not yet got car
back roadworthy yet .
this broke
and broke this
this .turns out dont have pic available of gearbox, suffice to say if the clutch broke
the bellhousing must be a mess[missing more like]

Had to laugh at the sunshine in Sweden, and the snow in Brighton
Absolutely love it. Always wanted one and will be on the cards as soon as a good one comes up over here. Nice to see it getting used too!

Actually surprised how hot it was in Swedish summer.

I loved these as nipper, used to cycle down to my local Ford Dealers to look at the two they had in the showroom
If that jesus is at the mess ,well you should have heard the noise when it broke at 50-60 mphI loved these as nipper, used to cycle down to my local Ford Dealers to look at the two they had in the showroom
The prop is flailing about hitting gearbox, exhaust, car floor.
One piece of ally bellhousing ended up in N/S/R tyre and punctured it ,talk about add insult
to injury.I changed the wheel whilst waiting for 2nr AA relay truck in Exeter services
Saw -12 degrees that morning on outside temp guage .Checkout salt look above
I think they look fantastic in blue, and they're hardly common even if it's the most common colour (I wouldn't worry )
It looks every inch the WRC car, covered in salt in the last pic! very evocative memories. I think this must be one of the last roadcars that actually looks a dead ringer for the rally car? I know group A was a fairly standard class, but its a beautiful thing. This, the delta HF, Impreza and celica ST205, no roadcar looked exactly like the rally car after that surely?

Absolutely stunning. A colleague of mine has an awesome Monte Carlo edition that he uses as his daily driver. It's an awe inspiring piece of work. It turns more heads than any Lamborghini will. It's a 'hero car', much like the Sierra Cosworth. It humbles with it's presence and what it represents.
