Sorry a bit new to forums got a 325 coupe and got offered a m3 rear end cheep so thought I would give it a go(subframe, diff, brakes, drive shafts, prop pretty much everthing!) everything went in easy got the prop shortened and balanced had no probs! .... Appart from the speedo jst wondered how I can get around it, I believe the m3 wheel speed sensors are magnoresstive and std e46 are hall sensors I have tried to fit my old sensors in m3 hubs but they do not get close enough to reluctor ring, are they going to work if I get them closer by modding the hub or am I pissing in the wind any help will be appreciated !

I took the 325 sensors and fitted them to the M3 hubs nothing else was required at all.

Yes still got it smile

Nope that's not why it doesn't work at all mine is an ASC 01 325 coupe and the rear end I used was from an 05 M3 convertible. Have you checked with INPA to see if the car is seeing the wheel pulses? Have you disconnected the ABS module? As (sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs) the speedo is driven from the left rear wheels abs sensor. Are you 100% sure you have sensors plugged in correctly and are using the correct ones (there are two types).

No haven't touched the module y is that? I got a new std sensor ordered by chassis number and fitted to n/s/r still nothing the connection is ok, I don't think it is long enough to sit close enough to reluctor as don't have wheel speed signal when using snap on scanner, the 2 different sensors is one the blue connector and the other grey?

If the ABS module is unplugged then it can't output the speed via canBus.

What happened to the original sensors from your car? Can you not try them? I can't remember the colours of the plugs (it was 2 years ago I did it) by I 100% put my original 325 sensors into the M3 rear end.
