they are better if you fix the hose to the heater matrix who ever thought that just floating a heater hose over an outlet was a good idea needs a good jab in the ribs

Nice looking car. I love my turbo, after having mine for almost a year there is no way I'd be happy with an NA, unless it was supercharged(but then it's not an NA anymore...)

very nice. ive had my na for 6 weeks now and love it! (must do my own thread actually...)

want to get a hard top for the winter, but having the roof off is almost half the fun for me!

i have quite a subtle exhaust on mine with an induction kit (miltek and some cheapy but mahoooosive induction kit) and it makes it all the better. test drove a few standard ones and the mods make it so much more of an occaion!

Thanks. I am keeping mine standard for the minute. Just want to savour the purity of the car as it was designed and meant to be from original concept. Will possibly add a fruitier sounding exhaust at a later date but am happy for now

Looks ace!

As others have said I like the Turbo varients but I always prefer the N/A ones.

Great car and looks like good roads. Enjoy.

Thanks! smile

Ha ha! Yeah, I have heard stories about the heater - will find out it's capabilities (or not) soon no doubt!

Yeah, I know what you mean. A better sounding exhaust maybe an option at some stage, but as I said above in my response to Lou_m I am happy to keep it standard at the moment thumbup

Very nice looking car, had my NA now for about 8 weeks. Got married a few weeks ago & used it as my wedding car, all the guests loved it.

I'd recommend a VSE exhaust, sounds great with plenty of pops & bangs when you take your foot off the throtle.

Enjoy

Very nice, ive had my silver NA for a few months now and its completely standard at the mo, but a larini or vse backbox are high on my shopping list

Seems like there's a few of is new owners about now!

My miltek is really rather subtle, too subtle in some respects. I have a sports cat that I will be fitting in the next week, and if that doesn't improve its voice much, I will be looking for a vse or larini.

I've got a Larini backbox on my turbo along with a precat replacement pipe. Sounds lovely! I know a few guys with VSE's on their N/A's and they sound great too.

just my 2ps worth, having owned an NA and a VXR220 i would stick with the 17'a and just get a decent Geo set up, exhaust wise a larini backbox alone sounds awesome on the NA - enjoy

I sold my Lightning Yellow in November 2011 to go back to a Westfield. Although it handled like a dream (Larini, Gaz, Difusser etc etc) it was too nice to really thrash and it certainly didnt go out in the rain, I needed something a bit more 'raw'. Sold it for £10,000! If you keep yours clean it wont depreciate!

Looks great!

Out of interest why do peeps seem to prefer the NA over the Turbo?

It appears that the turbo only weighs 6% more than the NA so I am surprised it makes a difference...but I haven't driven either so I'll take you word for it biggrin ... does the 6% make up for the extra 60bhp wink

I would have got a Turbo if I could have afforded it TBH, but do I feel short changed? Do I f**k biggrin

Congratulations OP, looks great in red. I like how you have kept it standard too, my VX has been lowered on uprated dampers and the ride is back breaking! Handles like a dream though.

Oh and if you are thinking of upgrading the exhaust, I would recommend a Piper backbox - see here for a naff video I recorded (you should get the idea).

I'd also have bought a turbo if I could have but I am more than happy with the NA. I've never driven the turbo but I do often wonder how it is accelerating out of corners with the turbo power delivery.

Thanks for all the comments! I would like to at some point get a 'more vocal' exhaust note from it, but that is one for next year I think. Just looking forward to a hot summer now for some top down motoring..... smile
