Right here is my thread based upon my saxo VTS that will be used purely on weekends and track days. I purchased it over 2 years ago making it very OEM+, then after a session at rockingham there was only one outcome.

here how it started with the OEM+ look, i loved it and still looked and handled very well.

Now things have changed.. and more plans will be occuring over the winter involving a GARRET!!!!

Spec.

Engine wise
GRP N engine mounts
Jp4 cam covers
421 manifold
Piper full system (de cat)
Green panel filter

Suspension
Fully polybushed
Lowered 40mm using billie B8's

Interior.
1x cobra evoltuion S.

Can ran 126.7bhp with just the manifold, so its a very healthly engine and other standard VTS's were running 116.bhp so was a reliable rolling road... Next week areo catches and larger anti roll bars..

Top work thumbup

Never really been into Saxo's partly because a mate has a cammed VTS and it breaks rather alot with only 70K on the clock he doesn't rag it either it's just cursed !

Sounds like a good project though Keep the thread updated.

Hold on, you started a track project, but gave up because you didn't want or couldn't afford to do the work it needed, now you are looking at another track project?

Madness!

So what are you getting for its replacement?

I must admit, abit wierd getting rid of what is a good base track car, i assume the turbo idea was abit too much work required but guess you must have your reasons?

So any hints on what the new one will be? wink

The Saxo is a nice little car, great chassis and peppy little engine. The Leon Curpa R is in a whole different league though, they can be modded up for some pretty serious power and I expect they'd be great fun to bang round a track.
