How much of that was hard work, and how much was lucky inheritence or lottery etc.? Genuinely interested what line of work would pay that well so quickly!
He's already fking said? Doesn't seem inachievable really, he's away for 6 months of the year, so presumably gets whatever wage tax free. Also has little to no living expenses for 6 months. With 3 months to save cash, plus a previous list of cars he's gradually built up over the years, he could easily finance a new GT3 RS on a salary of 40/50k a year.

Pete, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly is your position in the Merchant Navy? Been looking into it in depth recently and just curious.

Lovely history you've got there by the way, can't really fault any of those motors!

Nice to see someone in the merchant navy having such a wonderful car, even if you are a decky wink

To those having doubts, money in the merchant navy is good and often has tax refunded if you're out of the UK for half the year.

I'm 21 and I'm an ETO (electro technical officer) and also an RN LT due the work I'm in and the stuff we carry. Good on you man, that's young for a Chief Window watcher wink

Lol, Oil and Water on Pistonheads, never expected that!

Go back to your 'Lamping Up' or whatever it is ETO's do!

Don't have to window watch anymore, two 3/0'S and a 2/0 here, day work for me!

Unusual for anyone else to know what the Merchant Navy is, let alone be in it!

Safe voyage mate!
Trained engine officer too, it's been forced into me despite having to work with both deck and engine in my current roll.

Ah lamping up, aka avoiding a job that's more difficult till the Chief forces you to do it hehe

Safe trip to you too! Day work, I'll have to let my Mate know what he's missing instead of doing the 4-8 hehe
