If it is, you're in good company here biggrin

Same here, drove my first Seven at 20 and a few thereafter during my time with BMW. Bought my first at 27 and have had one of one variety or another of E32 or E38 on the drive since (along with more than a few E39s), I turn 31 in a few weeks. Only now I'm starting to think about open topped two seaters hehe

I think I have lusted after a 7 (and other big barges) since about age 13 when I started going to the motor shows. I used to take the train to Birmingham NEC and I think Earls Court, walk round the stands and queue to sit in these huge cars, I couldn't believe the luxury as my Dad had an old Ford Orion at the time (before moving onto Audi's thankfully). I would then collect bags and bags of brochures to browse through after the show. Good times.

Both cars have FSH, not sure who the supplying dealer of the E32 was but it's first service was at Sytner's in Leicester. Also had BMW stamps from Sterns and First Front.
Awesome cheers.

Will be interesting to see if an E65 or the current F-- model 7s will look this purposeful and 'right' after they've been out of production for so long. I would guess not! A lovely pair of cars OP.

Lovely cars there. Could you tell us a little on how different/similar they are to drive?

I'm not sure about E65/66, but think F01/02 will age quite gracefully. I want a ten year old one already, whereas I'm relatively indifferent about a ten year old E65/66.

Looking very nice.

The enthusiasm in the barge thread in far too infectious. Pretty sure I'll be the proud/financially ruined owner of one of these before the year is out.

Both look great, proper engines too.

I think the seats in the E39 are called 'Contour' though? Comfort backs with sport bottoms?

E38 right?

Anyway I think you may be right. That post did raise a question with me as my E38 has comfort seats (afaik) and it has the adjustable shoulder and lumbar support but not the extendable thigh pad on the base.

the L stands for Long wheelbase right? Look at that rear legroom!

I don't think I could own one of these and not pay someone to drive whilst I looked down on the world from the rear seats
