Father, son and a V8

The solenoid had seemingly sorted the problem, whether it was the new part or just cleaning the connectors I’m not sure.
I took my daughter out in the Town Car for the first time tonight, in her own words “I’m surprised it hasn’t broken down or set on fire yet” barely five minutes in the journey. She has as much faith in the car as I do
I still can’t find a way to relax in the car when driving it, as if the moment I’m happy with it, it will st the bed once more.

I've come to a decision, I am selling the car - with it being in the best shape of its life its time to move on

I've set the price to be reflective of the work gone into it, the unique nature of the upgrades, lets see if I get any bites.

Absolutely your call, of course, but I think you'll regret selling. As Tyre Tread said, please read your first post on this thread again before doing anything hasty.I think it's time. Perhaps this is a prime example of real life, the danger of returning to a hotel you went to 10 years ago and had the holiday of a lifetime at.
There have been good times and bad. It wasn't the fairytale we all wanted, but it was a wonderful story none the less and all stories have to end.
I would say this however - don't let the money you get back run through your fingers. Whatever it gets spent on in the end, make sure it means something too, be it car or not.

So far no bites, so the Town Car is still with us. It’s replacement is already on its way (westfalia nugget campervan), as I said I’m not in a rush to sell but selling it is likely the right call.
Or maybe a full electric conversion.
I'm not a fan of electric cars - however I do suspect that the town-car would lend itself to electrification quite nicelyOr maybe a full electric conversion.

It certainly has boot space for batteries. I do wonder how classic cars (and their sub standard impact protection) would provide adequate support for a battery pack in the advent of a crash.
A fast front end collision is to be avoided. The thought of 12,500 duracells inserting themselves at 50 mph where the sun don't shine makes me wince.....

Had to reschedule the MOT to today, car insurance has just been done (£140 for the year) - just need to get VED sorted and then I'll head to the mot place later on.
I think it will probably need some fresh fuel as well.
Good luck and I hope it passes - glad you kept it!I think it will probably need some fresh fuel as well.

Well done!
Surely you can't sell it and let someone else enjoy your hard work and expense. At least use it a bit.
I'm currently pottering about in a V8 Range Rover (P38) that I rescued from abandonment and although it only does 12 MPG you can't beat the feeling.
Isn’t that what every classic project is about? Spending lots to save the next owner the cost? Surely you can't sell it and let someone else enjoy your hard work and expense. At least use it a bit.

I need to downsize the fleet as I can't afford two cars in storage (the camper van is the priority sadly), so this is listing on eBay in 30 mins. I looked at the mileage between MOTs and it doesnt make sense to keep spending £££ on dry store for it to never get used.
Good luck with the sale
