Love it.

Mine 4.2 V8 is on 190,000 miles now.

Interestingly the only button that has stopped working is the one you are missing, which lowers the head rests in the back.
They are fantastic cars Johnny, and your A8 sits nicely in a great collection of cars! I always wondered what that missing button was for. Not that I carry back seat passengers much, unless I am one day carting my kids round in it! I love the electric seats in the front. Pressing a button and getting your headrest moving is a lovely thing. The seats are the best I have ever sat in. They make the seats in my old Volvo S60 looks like they were made from Bakelite plastic. They are of course the S8 seats, but I think the only difference is the alcantara trim on them.

This is my price and joy - a 14 year old BMW 328i. I love it to bits, it does everything so well and is a joy to drive. I am converted to BMWs now!

Interior has been tidied up with some good vinyl and rubber car since then, must get more photos! smile

Maybe a bit out of place with the fine company in here....yes, it's a 12 year old mondeo but she has a surprise under the bonnet and with tubular headers and decat the V6 sounds like thunder!!

^ Very nice! I had a silver ST24 for a while and it was very good. Handled incredibly well for what it was, and made a lovely noise too.

Mine had a fair bit of trouble with the IMRC which was infuriating, but it was still a great car.

Sold it to a mate, who sold it to another mate, and between them they completely ruined it frown

I did have a young lady screaming and spilling her handbag in the bag seat at the weekend after asking me if it went round corners!!! The IMRC is a nightmare, I have moved mine underneath the battery tray and am now on my 3rd second hand unit. Going to have to just bite the bullet and buy a brand new one from ford (£230). Always seems to decide to fail just when you don't want it to. Apart from that though I love these things, this is my second ST and 3rd Mk2 mondeo. This one has the ST200 UIM, LIM, polished ST200 throttle body, tubular headers and main cat delete. It surprises people.

Very nice. I am particularly fond of the ST200. I was thinking of buying one of those earlier this year as I love that generation of Fords.

Yes, mine are just the standard A8 ones, but as you say they are very comfy. If the car decides it has had enough I think I will keep and make a nice set of office chairs out of them.

Ex Demo from Norwich, 2000 T Reg bought at circa 40K miles, now on 190K.

Here is what the missing button looks like,

And the outside.

That looks a bit evil. Every time I drive through Woodstock I see one of these sitting just off the road. It hasn't moved in 2 years, has flat tyres and is slowly getting covered in bird st. Breaks my heart to see a machine like one of these go to waste.

Mine. CBA to do a dedicated thread, as, other than tidy it up here and there, I don't plan to do much to it...
