Got a spreadsheet set up with spending thus far. I'm sure there's stuff I've missed, but the total amount has really shocked me!
No recent pics of the car I'm afraid, as it is in the garage having the idling problem looked in to, as well as having the new engine mount fitted. As soon as it is out, I am intending on having the alarm fitted, then a respray, then the alloy wheels refurbished.

It does add up doesn't it, but with your initial £900 purchase price I still think you've done really well! Although not quite sure what a full respray goes for these days Never let it be said that old French hot hatches are cheap....!

Good effort! Nice to see one being taken care of properly. The stickers were nearly more expensive than the front discs Got to love old French cars. Some of the parts are so cheap.

I had a deposit on a new one (Williams 1) back in '94 with the Renault dealer in Wimbledon, but changed my mind before I took delivery....... Have been wanting one ever since, and have been looking at ebay/PH Classifieds in recent weeks, and this thread has just made want one even more.....

New indicator stalk... Ended up having to buy another Valeo (OEM) one as the pattern part from Poland wasn't up to the job. Next job is to get the alarm fitted Then the OEM radio cassette (this isn't my one, mine is muuuuch cleaner)

Great little car, I love your dedication in turning it back into a concours example I've wanted one ever since I saw it upstage much more expensive machinery on Performance COTY 1995

Stereo and alarm fitted. Initially quoted £96+VAT but ended up being £214 having needed new front speakers as it transpired it didn't have any!
After having it looked over in a Renault specialist it appears the front wheel's camber is out so it will need a new driver's side hub and after each spirited drive the revs stick at 2k (until the ignition is turned off) so a new throttle body is needed.
... And it's booked in for a full respray on 30th April!

P4cks you're a godsend, had you been closer i could of hugged you.
I've just bought one, apart from trying to find engine mounts that didn't cost the earth, solving the ABS light problem is the number 1 on my list and number 2 is rust. You've just saved me about 150 quid with that mister auto website.
You've also inspired me to get the car out, wash it and get some speedy pictures before the skies open this afternoon.

There's one on Fleabay at the moment but I'm not sure of the maker or the quality (link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Engine-Mount-RENAULT-CLI...

Very nice Simon(?) And on the subject of plates, I've ordered some original dealer looking ones similar to this... The next photo I will take will be after the respray, re-plating and re-stickering
