That van is quality, reminds me of the Royal Nail 4WD Escort van with the Cossie lump in it.

Your cars are absolutley bonkers; you even went to town on a van!

Looking forward to seeing the Corsa that should be quite a machine!

Love it, I also own a garage and like you love to play with cars, I got fed up with vauxhalls as welding in arches etc used to annoy, now specialise in peugeots and have fun with those.

Although I do have this with a c20 let-

And this old car I once had about 4 years ago, c20 xe astra gte.

Now I am into things like this-

That is SICK! Total and utter respect, I just wish you would have built it into a standard looking white Nova GTE, real old-school!!!

I would love a fraction of the talent required to build something like that...

People have said they wish they could do something like that.
Well to give people an idea and to try and motivate people to get up and do something i will tell you alittle about my past history.

I started Window Cleaning when i was 16 (I am 31 now) and still do it today 4 mornings a week.
In late 2002 i paid someone to change my brake pads in my car as i did not know what i was doing.
Always had a interest in performance cars etc but was never happy paying people to do a job as they would never do it how i wanted so decided to have ago.
Over the next 6-7 years i went to night school to learn welding and metal fabrication, aswell as car bodywork/painting.
Over this time i got a small lockup with some friends and learned myself cars mechanics doing my own conversion on cars, reading, watching people etc.
2 years ago I opened my own garge and qualified as a level 3 mechanic/MOT tester etc I worked 12-13 hours aday (both window cleaning and mechanicing).
Now i have employed some staff, i can now take time going back to my passion.

So going from 2002 when i could not do a thing on cars to 2011 to building a twin engine near 1000bhp Corsa.

People just need to follow there passion more.....

If anyone is in the Oldham, Manchester area feel free to contact me and pop in, i still work most nights till 9pm as after 6pm my garage turns into like a big boys youth club where there are a group of petrol heads who pop in my garage at night to lend a hand, have a chat etc before going home haha

Awesome, awesome project and a true petrolhead to boot! I remember spotting that van in the classifieds a while back, was severely tempted to buy it but didn't have the reddies frown

I guess this could be a lesson for many people!

You don't have to be born with a spanner in your hand to build something like this. As b20RDY says, you can achieve amazing things if you put the effort and the focus in. Fanstastic car btw smile

I LOVE stories like this.

I can't tell you how much i respect you for doing the above fella, top top bloke clapclapclap

as for the 1000hp corsa, that sounds hilarious. makes my 650bhp/ton rear engined single seater sound sane.

Come on bud, get loads more pictures up and a description of what is going on

Also, why not drop in the odd name drop for your company, i'm sure there are PH'ers up north that would love to deal with someone like yourself.

There was a thread discussion about what being a petrol head means.

Well you summed it up for me, just the passion to follow your dreams.

Awesome.
