Twin Engine Corsa 2 x C20LET's
Discussion
OP: Im going to suggest a firewall. Every manufacturers rear engine conversion that Ive seen (which is all of them, I think) has the cabin divided to keep out heat, noise and fumes, a most importantly - to protect the driver from fire.
A rear engine 'under-bonnet' fire will probably see you in hospital , or worse. It wont be difficult for you to fabricate out of aluminium sheet and polycarbonate.

Sod a "fire", i'd be worried about a coolant hose bursting or poping off (either one it's own or in a crash). 10 litres of water and glycol mix at 100degC is going to be a very very nasty way to go (it certainly won't kill you straight away, but you'd probably wish it had about 10 mins later........ ;-(
I have thought about a fire wall but really do not want to run one, i understand the risk but there is risk to crossing the road etc.
The car is going to be a fun car which at most will do say 30miles at one given time.
PLUS and the main point for not wanting one is imagian the drama, smell, noise etc of having a 500bhp engine right next to you while you are trying to brake the land speed record ?
If you go threw life thinking "but what if" then cars like this would never be built.
Video of Dubsports Twin Engine Golf with no firewall fitted, now if you would not like to be sat in that passenger seat for the overall experience then in my eyes your not a petrol head.

I was at Castle Combe way back in the mid 90's when the Dubsport twinie first turned a wheel. TBH, if i were the track controller i would have refused it (and your car) access. (Incidentally, my car, with it's rear mid engine, with a proper firewall, was 12sec a lap quicker around combe..........)
Your car is a prototype, a one off. You do not have any "durability" or "reliability" information to work with. It might only be a 30min pootle to the shops, but any incident (fuel, oil, coolant) could be very bad indeed. If you have a passenger, would you want them to be injured as well?
Don't get me wrong, i think your car's fab, but also flawed. It would be illegal for any motorsport event on the basis of a lack of solid and fireproof bulkhead between the engine and passengers.
All you need is a suitable 3mm Lexan sheild, you'd still hear the engine alright ;-)

Small Update.
Gear leaver turret has come so welded that all up and sat the gear leaver mech ontop. Still need to add some bits for the cables to mount to but had to have a look how it sits inside the car.
Also aload of powder coating came back so back so gave the engine bay a wipe down put them back on to see how they look.
Going to send off the inlet and chargecoolers to get polished.
Next jobs are work on the gear cables, make a lourve tool so I can vent the bonnet and then give is a mass clean off ready for PVShow ‘12
Also been teaching my lad not to buy but to modify (be wanted to get a new bike as this one was look old and out of “fashion”) before anyone says i know the front forks are wrong way around just plonked it all together so he could see how it would look at update his progress thread like me lol
Thanks
