As some people or have seen online i started to build a twin engine corsa around 4-5 years ago. After the first push over 12 months the car was put to one side while i sorced all the parts for both engines/shell etc aswell starting up my own business/garage. So now 4-5 year on alot of money and parts later, i finally had more time on my hands.
So i decided to put aside at least an hour per night before i lock up to work on the car.
Since i started around 2 months ago things have moved on really fast, i find myself getting my enjoyment from working on the car and excited about doing the next step each night.
So i took the car outside gave her a wipe down an took some photos so people can see what i have been upto and see that the car is getting done. Do not want to put a date on when it will be up and running but hope i am not far off for PVShow 2012.
Small spec – Full Forged Engines with Garrett GT3076 Turbo’s, F28 6 speed transmissions with Quafie Diff’s est 450-500bhp per engine
Will Write a full spec up when I get time.

Full Build photos can be found here

Holy st !

I've done a few C20LET conversions in my time, only seen the black Nova that was done a few years ago with two 'Lets in it.

That is going to be fking hot and noisey in there hehe

So 2x500bhp engines. Surely weighing in at about 1 tonne. So that's 1000bhp then... (Nods head in approvement)

Definitely need ear protection! I bet that'll suck some air from the cabin too!
You building it for drag-strips or hillclimbs? Or just because you can?

Great, great build.

The differential response from 2x turbocharged engines will be ... interesting to handle.

Brilliant! I love silly conversions like this, I know of someone who put a red top in a corsa and it would light the tyres up in 3rd. This thing will be totally mental - top effort!

I started building the car because i wanting to keep up with high powered cars in my little corsa haha
It will be fully road legal and not built just for one reason. The main use for the car is to on a weekend go out of a drive and have some fun. Even if it covers the 1/4mile in under 10 seconds it will be classed as a "slow drag car" i want a really fast road car.
An easiest and cheapest way to double you power and traction? weld an engine in the back, makes is 4WD and doubles your power. Mine just got alittle out of control.
Some of it is because i saw some twin engine car years ago and i had the same reaction as you people are now. It gets your mind thinking about how fast it could be? will it handle? etc etc
I also liked the fact i can enter some events and run in all classes - FWD, RWD and 4WD

I do not care weather its not as fast as i am expecting, i am just looking forward to the drama of being sat in the drivers seat with a massive turbo 2 foot from my head glowing red as i try to brake the land speed record haha

I want to just have a car i get excited about taking out for a spin biggrin

With my basic mechanics knowledge could you not have one engine with a supercharger the other with the turbo for maximum rev range?
