E34 530i Touring

first thing i'd probably try is disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes or so then reconnecting.

Anyone after a Bentley manual for the E34? I found mine in the garage, kept because I half anticipated buying another E34 at some point, but nearly 5 years after I sold my 530i it's been gathering dust. E-mail me through my profile.

Behind/below the right hand side panel in the boot, IIRC.

Mine is under the backseat on the drivers side , just pull the squab hard at the front to remove.

Yep here on E34's. Your problem could be a low battery, plays havoc with electrics.
