Engine recently let go on mine. It's now sitting forlornly on the side of the road, awaiting it's fate
So sorry to hear that. I still miss that car, I hope someone finds a way to get it back on the road, I'd buy it back if I had the space / time and didn't already have another M shaped money pit.les3002 said:
How much do you want for it Technopug?
Not sure yet. I've broken worse for £4k. I'd want £3k+ I think but I have about £800 of service and uprated parts to go also, plus the plate is probably worth £600, so price is negotiable up or down.I'll get some photos taken and write an ad at the weekend.
Small update:
Just booked a Javelin day at Anglesey in August!
This obviously means I have to get some new stuff...
Rear tyres:
I will blast and then paint the rims Porsche Signal Green to match the front.
I have also purchased some more fuel pipe and fittings to adapt the twin fuel pumps to supply from both sides (what I should have done in the first place)

Have you got a parts list for the twin pumps?
Alright mate, hope all is well!I have done this is stages over a few months so I will try to remember...
This is what I have used...
8mm fuel hose (about 2,5 meters)
8mm "Y" fittings http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/fuel-unions-fi...
a BMW E36 M3 Evo Fuel Pump (I got a 2nd hand one from eBay)
a BMW 318is E36 Fuel Sender unit - which I fitted the E36 M3 Evo pump to (again from eBay)
Hose Joiners - which I epoxy'd in to the fuel pump/sender units for the return hose http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/fuel-unions-fi...
8mm hose clamps
This is my original pump (from the drivers side). I drilled a hole and then glued the fitting in for the return hose.
This is the fuel pump and sender unit from a 318 that I fitted the Evo pump to
It looks like there already is a return hose fitting but that is just a blank.
So, this is the drivers side where the pump discharges in to the Y fitting along with the discharge from the other side
The return hose is connected to my glued in fitting.
This is the passenger side
Fitted a new drivers door seal so finally I can close the window with the door closed..
Also had the tyres fitted to the wheels:
I had to bend the rear wheelarches in a tiny bit to avoid contact but apart from that, they are perfect.
So, this is what I'm going to run on track:
Front: (7.5j x17) 235/45/17 Federal FZ-201 (Semi Slick)(Road Legal)
Rear: (8.5j x17) 235/45/17 Federal FZ-201 (Semi Slick)(Road Legal)
In an ideal world I would have probably used 235/40 but I couldn't get hold of any so decided to take a punt. It isn't normal to use these tyres on 7.5j wheels but it seems to be ok....

thanks, it's so addictive!
I'm insured with Adrian Flux, I did try a few others and they worked out the best. I was on the phone for nearly an hour talking through all the modifications etc.
It worked out at about £600 for the year fully comp which I think is ok. As a comparison, I was with Tesco before I started the modifications and they charged me £450 for a year.

Blimey bully. No messing around after your return. Think you'll disappear at Anglesey with those tyres. Hoping my road tyres will be ok. Spare wheels and tyres next on list for me. Bloody hot in mahon and some unreal boats parked up in the harbor. Have you seen the Baton Rouge Douglas?

When my mate put polybushes (a garage fitted them) on the front of his Evo, the wheels were further forward ie towards the front bumper. Were they fitted correctly?
I have no idea, shouldn't effect it should it..?Polybushes are the same size as OEM, just a stronger material...
