That CF boot looks excellent. Must have cost a pretty penny.

Not too much smile it is fibreglass and a top layer of CF I think. purchased it from eBay after reading of a few other purchasers on M3Cutters.
I just weighed it and it is 10Kg less than the OEM one.

more pictures to follow later

Still got a bit more to do as the push button has nothing to secure to and the cover for the numberplate lights needs to be reused/replaced

Stripping weight eh Bully. Should be able to show that red 3.0 a clean set of heels. Lol. Mines in at the moment getting 3 oil leaks sorted, new rear brake lines, valve clearances , fresh oil and oil diverter valve to keep temps down on track. Also having some fresh wax added after I polished last week.

Any further plans re mods?

Good to see you are busy with the car too!

My plan is:
Cold air induction hose (sort of have an idea)
Brake cooling via fog lights (I have a plan)
Fan removal and fit an electric one
AC system removal
CF Bonnet

But, I'm only here for one more week so this will probably happen later in the year...

Be very interested to see how you get on with the brake cooling. I've considered this. Definitely going to upgrade my brakes with APs later in the summer. There are some useful threads over on e36coupe.com about the break cooling. Some people are doing home made jobs without using the fog lights and attaching hosing to the existing intake and tying to the mesh. There are some diagrams over on that forum. There also the bits and bobs advertised at ca automotive. Very pricey though.

Been to Center Gravity today, not with the M3 unfortunately however.
Went to a demo day with the Porsche club (TIPEC).

Very interesting to see all the Porkers and the different set ups etc.

Mine has 1 degree of -ve camber more on the left rear than the right but other than that, perfect.

The shaky thing tested the dampers and all were exacly the same.

I'm defiantly going to get the M3 booked in after the mods have been done.

Were a couple of 928's and a few 993's

Just thought I would share out of interest.
Apparently it is about £500 for a day with Center Gravity and they will set the car up to your requirements.

There's a guy on cutters with an e46 who's got a detailed thred on all the work they did. Apparently they are absolute suspension gurus. Be money well spent.

MOT booked for Wednesday!
Insurance just arranged (£240 for a year)!

Car has not moved for months so will get it out for a check tomorrow.

In other news, I purchased a little something to tow the trailer...

Think I'm ready for the MOT..

Last minute job when i remembered a dash warning light will make the car fail - I had to fit the brake wear sensors.

Also fitted the new trim on the boot and the badges

After the MOT, I can start thinking about this...

Next track day is the BMW CC Event at Donington.

Weight:

1440 Kg with a 100% full tank of fuel
Fuel tank took 54 litres so I assume it is a 55 litre tank

Think original weight was 1515 Kg...? Not sure if that includes fuel however.
