it's all been a bit slow on the M3 project really so I thought I would get the credit card out again.

Ah.

Looking good Ben.
I've ended up with an E46 330 saloon in Imola. Miles from an M, but enjoying it none the less.
Hope all well with you.

Not seen this in ages looking good.
Don't take the interior out of the M3, I think the club sport approach works much better.
Have you looked at blue fin for the x5 will take it upto c 350 bhp

How did it tow?
Self leveling work ok?
what mpgs are you getting from the X5?

now that i'm commuting more been thinking about changing the Touareg, although the V8 is lovely, 18mpg is getting expensive (although not as expensive as a new car).
i think air is a must for towing, which basically means a later 8spd 3.0tdi Q7, Touareg if you can find one with the option ticked or X5 which has 1/2 air.
all are stated to do mid 30's mpg wise.
power wise, wouldn't want to have less than the current 310bhp which leaves X5 40d or chipped 35d

we'll all be at Donnington 14th March, my purple e36, an e36 evo, and CSL?

All good thanks!
I just sold my E46 330i, it was fantastic.
I have been out of the country so much recently, just can't get a chance to drive anything.

It towed like there was nothing on the trailer to be honest, I had to keep watching my speed!
I keep meaning to check but I didn't think I had the self levelling suspension. It is standard on 7 seaters but an option on the 5 seat.
Getting about 30 mpg average but we do drive it for about 5 mind to the woods a couple of times a day which doesn't help. I got 36 mpg for a bit on the way to Scotland when doing a steady 50mph (not out of choice, roadworks). I have not used it much as I'm away with work but looking forward to 3 months holiday soon!

Cant do Donington as I won't be around but hope to get some track days in during May/June

I may be able to do that but it would have to be a last minute booking. Is it MSV?

Really enjoyed reading through all of that and it's good to see the car's being used properly.

Let me know if you want to sell it. whistle

Nice car.

Fitted Mishimoto in my E30 M3 and was very happy with the quality and improved cooling.

To be honest, I would have no idea where to even start regarding price but I can almost guarantee it's out of my current price range due to the work you've done.
Long term it would be cheaper to buy a car like yours; already prep'd but in the short term I think I'm going to have to start my own project and work on it bit by bit.

I think my comment should have read; "let me know if you want to sell it cheap". Ha.
