Yer, there are some great threads and so much reading. I like to show what I have done to help others as they have helped me.been hankering after an e36 M3 for a couple of months now and threads like these dont help!
Have you seen this one:

Not much to report really, I changed my job which resulted in four months out of the UK. The M3 has been locked away in the garage...
VISA card has been busy however and I have got some new bits and bobs ready to fit in October:
VDO Oil Pressure Gauge and connection
Pod to fit gauge on dashboard
Another COBRA seat and seat frame for the passenger side
4 Point harness for the passenger.
The car will be going in to Willie Poole Motorsport Services to have some proper harness mounts fitted and then to AB Motorsport to have some Coilovers fitted. Still waiting to confirm which make I will fit.
I have booked Croft on the 13th October and plan to do a couple more before December.

Just got home to commence my 10 week holiday...
Decided to wire brush the arches and clean all the crud out. I then removed all the loose rust, treated with Krust and then painted.
The inside is all done with Hammerite Black and I goy a bit of Techno Violet for the outside.
It ain't perfect but should give me a bit more life.
Chucked the new rear disks on
Then popped the shiny wheels on

just a bit of messing about trying to fit the second bucket seat today but for some reason, it doesn't fit the frame?
Anyway, I will make it fit one way or another...
I have fitted the GT front bumper corner things - looks good I think.
I also painted the fog lights yellow. I have seen this before in a magazine or on the internet and thought it looked good...

Well, the dog eat the TV remote control so my day of relaxing on the sofa turned in to another day in the garage.
I got myself a Silverline polishing machine and decided to give it a try.
then I backed it in to the garage, ttted the shelving unit and dented the spoiler and boot lid

Why are you getting harness mounts when you have a cage?
4 point harness: 2x on the cage, over the shoulders. 1x next to the door, where the seat belt rail is fitted and then 1x being welded on the transmission tunnel. The only other option was to have it fitted to the seat frame but I didn't like that.

Iv said it over on E36coupe already but im loving that half cage , looks so smart and clean where you have left the carpets in. i Would consider going down this route
Thanks, I couldn't bring myself to pull it apart and turn it in to a track pig. I have always loved the Club Sport it GT look.HSD's have been fitted by AB Motorsport in Warwickshire.
Andy, the owner did the work and had a hell of a time fitting them.
Most of the bolts were seized and he also replaced one of the trailing arm ball joints.
We need to let the suspension settle so have set it up with 2.1 degrees of negative camber for now.
The dampers can be adjusted easly and I will play about with this on the next track day.
Not much to see:
We have had to chuck some 15mm wheel spacers on the front but I think we could have got away with 10mm

Small update after a track day at Donington Park:
The car behaved really well apart from what I think is a los of fuel pressure when going around fast tight right corners. I will have to look in to this as it is really annoying.
I only had a few odds and ends of tyres so ended up with Michelin Pilot SX on the front and some old Hankook Ventus R-S2 on the rear.
A few pictures - not mine but borrowed from other kind PistonHeads
will probably post some more when I get the CD from the expert photographer

Looks good that OP, also liking the E46 tourer on shadowchrome MV2s, very tasty... RE: your loss of fuel pressure, do these have twin pick-ups in the tank? If not could be fuel surge
Thanks - regarding the fuel, I'm not sure to be honest but sounds like it could be surge.I will have a look through the forums and see what can be done.

I get the same issue with fuel pressure in my M3 evo with less than 1/3 in the tank. Most often happens through clearways at Brands Hatch.
Yer, looks like a common problem which I never read about before.I will look for a mod and see what I can do. It can't be good for the engine or my lap times (not that I'm timing).
Donington used a lot of fuel! I did a tank +20 litres in 180 miles on track
