Proper old skool - I love it but how cool would it be to have a blower hanging out of the bonnet wink

No, not that particular one. I'm only versed with one or two with the old Essex lump. Having said that next time down in London I could always swing around your way and get to know your car if you like wink

I had a brand new Granada Granada Ghia in 1974, RNN 280N it was, still on DVLA but long dormant so probably a gonner frown

They were sold in South Africa at the time with a 351 V8:

Yep that's right but not with 351w's, they had 302's, the 351w is often overlooked as a power plant due to its weight and size but is the strongest out of the small block ford family
I am almost curtain that I have seen your old car about as that number plate rings a bell, what colour was it?

I wonder whether a Cleveland would fit being a wider V it may only fit with std manifolds rather than extractors.

Yes a cleveland would fit as I have seen one on another forum, type in mk1 Granada v8 in google images and it comes up, it's a burgundy/red one
Cleveland is another good engine but it's size is almost comparable to a big block which therefore does not make it much use over a 351w, Cleveland had the best heads tho, the ports as standard on them are bigger than any aftermarket head on the market today!

Pure class !
Always liked these, In Ireland they were few and far between.
Very creative engineering. Super cool, then and now.

Also, having seen the heads of a Cleveland V8 (From a Pantera), the valves were extremely large.

That is a lovely machine. Love it to bits. Good on you. But at the same time I hate you because I've been trying to keep away from looking at these. The urge to have is strong

Ha ha ha, yeah it's one of those cars that does win your heart with its personality even as standard you cant help it, it's just a shame there are hardly any left!
