Er? no I didn't. I was told to stop drifting 'so much'

not because I was out of control!
clapthumbup

I don't tend to look much at westy threads on here as they are a bit hard core for me but since doing a track day this year i have taken notice of them for what they do best and my god that is once of the coolest videos i have ever watched i love it and some driving skill sir to hold drifts at those speeds in that monster. Book marked this thread!

Wow thanks alot guys for all the positive comments!

Gonna keep developing the car (and my driving of course!)

Trying to get a bigger exhaust made to shut the thing up so I don't have to lift past all the sound moniters and can then I can run some proper booost at bedford. It really can go ALOT faster than in that video.

Weirdly, I get just as excited about the new engine I am having built for my little Clio 172cup! should be a whole 200bhp this time smile

Just love all cars!

Jesus that thing looks like a handful to drive!

What are you having done to the Clio?? I remember you saying on ClioSport, (or here, I can't remember!) that you wished you left it alone!? TB's or RS2???

bet you could... I am over 18stone! smile

I've had some 20stone plus big 6 footers in there before! Needed a crane to get one guy out. He was an 'interference fit' wink

Its already on ATpower ITB's.

Was getting out dragged by standard cars though! turns out it was way down on compression on cylinder 3.

So having it all rebuilt and adding some cams in this time.

OP: Are those your Palmersport laps on the youtube channel you posted? Out of curiosity what was your time in the JP-LM?

flipping heck, 40 stone in a westy must look hilarious.

I begrudge passengers when i am on track because of the added weight, but i suppose you don't really notice the difference in PWR!!!

It has taken me about 2 days on and off to read that build thread and wow. That is frankly the best example of mission creep I have ever seen. I hope you don't work in planning or programme management. Maybe MOD budgeting? Absolutely amazing car it's just hilarious that it went from a quick tidy up and morphed into one of the ultimate westfields.

They are yes. I'm pretty quick in those.... but then I've done the event 20 times now! so I should be quick by now.

I've gone quicker than 76 before... just had this one on phone as I took a pic as I fell of the bloody logs on the 4x4.... that can be the difference between winning the day and coming 5th or something

Thankfully... it didn't wink

Yes... it all went a bit wrong didnt it!!!

Love the video......and I would be proud of the comments re your driving, especially the whingers. Watching you lock to lock through the corners was hilarious and impressive by any standards.

I would love to build a westfield. There is a V10 out of an M5 on here for £1000. Can you imagine that in a westfield.......?

Having seen Lee at the weekend at Bedford I can say what a nice guy he is. Westy is amazing! Just incredible how it picks up pace. Perhaps I can jump in for a ride in the future.
Keep supplying us with videos!

Fantastic car and having safe fun (what track days are about), I'd have no issue being on track with you

People need to wind their necks in and not be so jealous or critical

hats off to you sir
