Have you noticed much difference with the catless (n55?) pipes? I am tempted to change mine, a cheap easy mod.

The 1M Coupe is a monstrosity. Too small & disgusting looks. Will depreciate like a stone too.

Aussie, slightly off topic but I'm curious...

I can understand why someone would edit the image of their numberplate to make it illegible, or I can understand why someone wouldn't bother, but is there a reason why you've fiddled with the numberplate image on your computer but in such a way that you can still read the plate?

(Sorry if I come across as a knob asking this- I'm really not taking the mickey, I'm just interested if there's a reason. Your car is still awesome and I think it's brilliant when owners like you share the joy with the rest of us. thumbup)

Are you putting this on the KW stand at any shows this year or is that still going to be the Astra's weekend home?
The 1M where needed, as for the astra, its was fitted with new clubsports but has been off the road now for 8 months and not sure when I will be using it again, well not any time soon anyways......

No real aim to be honest (power wise), I have no immediate plans for software upgrades, hardware to improve on the stock power and cooling but more interested in improving the handling and braking, so next up will be looking at the tyres with the new super sports over the current pilot sport sp2's. After the interooler was fitted and ran on the dyno, at the flywheel it was making night on 380bhp and 400lbft of torque. I have yet to run it since the secondary cats where removed.
To be honest, the Don Palmer limit handling course is my plan for summer so I can harness the current power available before taking it to the next level, that I feel will be more beneficial for me right now.

Performance wise, not massive but with the 2 main cats on the downpipes I wasn't expecting much, but removing some of that restriction can only benefit removing heat and turbo spool up, there is some noted throttle response improvement with the M button off, so that is something and more burble on the overun, plus a nice improvement from the exhaust note on WOT. For 270quid from BMW (easy straight forward fit)in my opinion it's worth it.

Good question smile, and nope not a knob attitude at all mate.......

Answer, I just couldn't be to bothered to be honest, I started and then sort of gave up, and with the pictures about on here and other sites from meets showing the plate in full, I got to the point of why really bother now, just go onto another thread and its there, slacker I was lol

I think it's only right then that you donate it to me hehe Seems fair in my mind at least. Looking forward to seeing the car up close then, only seen a 1M so far as they drive past on the road.

laugh ok

I do want to get it back out on to the track again but at the moment I'm having fun with the 1M, but I have some plans to remove and sell on the pole positions shortly for some profi spg's, replace the pace intercooler for a Forge jobbie and I need to get around to setting up the clubsports plus a few little tweaks that I might as well get on with while it's off the road collecting dust in the back of the garage........

Should turn it into just that bit more of a weapon cool

Can understand why the 1M is taking all your attention though, it's a gorgeous looking car. If it drives even half as well as it looks I can't imagine there being many cars on the road that are more fun.

Lovely car.

I still think the looks of the 1 series coupe are what the follow on from the e46 3 series should have been.

It's now at that stage, next being a full complete strip out 'race' car, but that's not what I am after as I do prefer to drive it to and from track and some spirited weekend blasts rather than trailering it about, so I will continue to run it along its current theme for now, but who knows what the future holds wink

As for the 1M, it is fun behind that fat squidgy steering wheel biggrin

Well the size especially is what many feel, but there is still something about the e90's M3 that draws your attention.
