I'm looking maybe early next year to change the 9-3 to a 330d touring I think that would make a nice motorway/AutoRoute cruiser.

But all depends on the next few days and interviews !

What about the 335d M touring? great engine and doesn't half shift with all the creature comforts.

I think the 330d would be more in my price range !

would also consider an Audi A5 coupe 3.0 TDi

but I'd prefer the BMW, I really did like the 320d I had for a few years.

Still a great car none and I would go the 330d over the Audi, you feel much more connected to the drive.

Thanks mate. It was a fantastic trip which the pics only give a taste of the actual experience. Great bunch of guys to spend the 10 days with and plenty of laughs but sure is going to be hard to beat for our next trip.

Fantastic trip, i am sure the car was superb throughout. Fair play for you to heading down to Munich, quite a fair distance from the Alps.

Other than 2 repairable punctures on new pilot supersports lol the car was superb during the whole trip, comfortable for the long stretches and hardcore and precise on the alp switchbacks. I did spend a lot of time messing with the KW DDC settings and fine tuning for the ultimate balance throughout.

Wales, A drivers playground......27-29 Dec.

Having chilled out and eating far to much over the xmas period, a blast around mid/northern Wales was just what the doctor had ordered, so Marcus and his M3 and I in the 1M descended upon a very wet Snowdonia and an icy/wet Evo triangle for a bit of play.

And when in Wales.....

Awesome, two great looking BMW's, 1M really is a very special car. Much more so than the incredibly capable M3.

Made me smile, so come on then, who's faster?

Nice pics mate

:cough: obviously you've both had a few, ahem, side-on rolling-drag-race's on private roads... :cough: cough: HOW DO THEY COMPARE? bounce

We are both respectable medical professionals, we no race on public roads, but I have seen the Evo Triangle marked as a race track lol

The welsh sheep can shift pretty fast though when needed : )

Looks very similar to the trip I made in my VX220 last October. I went up on a wednesday/thursday and drove up the A470 from Cardiff where I live, which incidentally is nice drive in itself! Loved the Evo triangle - did it three times in a row! I was really lucky with the weather too smile

Lovely cars. I'm still undecided if I prefer the 1M or M3...I think a cross between them both would be perfect.

A group of us ( 1 M3 and 5 1M's) pretty much did that run back in Sept 2012
