Hi Everyone,
Not that exciting compared to some of the other cars on here I know, but this is my Celica.
Ive owned it for just over a year now and its my first (slightly) sporty car.
Its got the 1.8 7A-FE engine which is quite peppy.
The car has 110K on the clock and has just passed its MOT with no problems and no advisories! Definately testament to the quality of 90's Jap cars!
Im looking to change it for something a bit quicker so here are a few pics before it goes!
Cheers
Al

One of my colleagues loves old Celicas. His last J reg 2.0 GT went to 230k and he has mothballed it incase he gets bored of his W reg 1.8 with 160k on it, which was an impulse buy that was far too cheap.
My Mrs runs a 1998 Toyota Picnic, its never failed an MOT, get the most basic of maintenance, and nothing has ever broken on it, ever.
Old Toyotas are biblically reliable!

Obvious choice would be to upgrade to a GT4 nice looking celica aswell.
Ive considered a GT4, seems to be one of the only quick jap cars I can get decent insurance quotes on!. What are the running costs like? And are they quick? If I got one it would have to be white with full castrol livery though!

Quick, yes. Running costs can be on the scary side.If I got one it would have to be white with full castrol livery though!
Ive owned one for just over a year main purchase reason was as has been said above out of the Jap Turbo cars it was the only one affordable on insurance at 21, however in hindsight I would have gone for an Evolution etc and suffered high first year insurance because the Gt4s are very costly to run!
Suspension is costly and only genuine Toyota bits are available, MPG even off boost is bad and everything is a mission to fit/repair lol...
But I think they are the best looking out of the Wrc bunch and an unusual sight on the road so Im torn on keeping it!

nice motor mate very good cars, my gtfour is perfect on fuel as i went from a scooby to this i noticed the difference, mine is running 286bhp and it is very quick and just an all round awesome car to drive, the handling is second to none due to the ss setup and the build quality is unbelievable as you will know with yours.
if you get the chance at a gtfour mate take it.
a well looked after gtfour turns alot of heads.
this is mine (sorry to take over just showing as an example)
nobody believes me when i tell them its 17 years old

The GT4 ST205 is a great car. As has been mentioned, the figure 8 suspension is really the only thing to look out for. It'll return low 20's mpg though, so you'll feel it coming from a 1.8 Celica! Mind you, the engines are as tough as old boots, it's the same engine as is in my MR2 Turbo (albeit there it is mounted behind the driver's head!). Absolutely fantastic. If you're not sure you want the expense of looking after the figure 8 suspension but still fancy a hardy, 90's Toyota sports car you could do worse than looking at the MR2 Turbo - though it is a very, very different car to the 'Evo/Impreza lite' Celica GT4 ST205!
Have you sold yet ...?
How much your asking...??
