Just watched Clarkson hoon about in your car on his new DVD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedd...Its looking stunning, watching the credits, it looks like they did some slo-mo work recording its 3 wheel characteristics. Did you manage to get any of the footage as its looks fantastic

been pulled, copyright probably.
64 minutes in if you buy the dvd but it's only about 10 seconds airtime.

That's a credit to you. My son used to have a lovely white one and my friend used to have one of these 20 years ago. Brings back some good memories.

I have just read this thread from start to finish and i applaud you
It brought me back to my youth when one of my best friends bought a White 1.6 GTi and proceeded to replace everything on the car as it wore out/broke except the body shell and windows, sadly he wrote it off around 10 years ago, however it loves on as a rally car now
He replaced it with a laser green one, now fully converted to mi16 and various other nice french bits, as a consequence of my friends initial 205 purchase many of us bought them too, and i really should have kept my 1.6
Anyways enough of my mumbling on, congratulations to you, the car looks absolutely terrific, just one question does the clock work?
I ask as out of 3 of our 205s only 1 worked, occasionally and it never managed to keep the time right, it would gradually run slow
