Less than £2000 with myself as the policy holder, license held for 3 years with 0 years NCB (due to never having owned a car here before not that I have crashed).
Oh I feel I can justify mine a bit more now, may I ask who that's with? Also what are the BMW figures for fuel economy on these, how does what you're getting compare?Over one year and 10,000 miles I have averaged 31mpg, mainly from a 10 mile A&B road commute and weekend use. Can't remember the last time I went on a motorway in it. Pretty economical for a 3 litre to be fair, it's certainly better than the older 3 litre engine which I had in a 330 and averaged 28mpg over the same journey.
Good choice!
I got mine just before christmas and still loving every second of driving it!
Just watch out on the slippy roads
Im getting about 31 mpg and and i do 1500 miles per month. Its the colour combo that i wanted but there was nothing at the time when i was buying so ended up with silver with black leather but was top spec and low milage so i made a compromise.
I want to swap my multi spoke wheels for those ones!!

Cracking car mate, you'll love it. ( inknow this shouldnt matter but ladies love them and reckin they're wotrth a st load so at 20 you're gonna be flying!! haha)
I aggree the 3.0si is better than the M version. looks more subtle, the engine is smoother and beautifully torquey, Ive actually had mine very mildly tweaked in the mid range and its like silk. Also the M-Diff is too tight and forces front end push.
Bad bits? The suspension is total ar$e as most OEM stuff is so watch for understeer quickly followed by a snap of rear slip. The traction DTC combo is a good safety net though. Ive fitted AST coilovers to mine (at £1600) they were'nt cheap but I literally cannot recommend the outlay enough, it now handles like my old caterham race car. (To be fair I do race bikes so suspension is a real bugbear of mine but its worth a look....) Mine's gonna be on the market soon as i'm getting a CSL and I ave the original wheels somone mentioned in the thread that are sat in my garage.....also the AST's could be removed if interested? Enjoy the car mate and revel in its rarity!
Cheers
