Here's a of shots from a photoshoot I did of 'PainterDaves' car back in late 2010.

With the two cars looking really quite similar I couldn't resist sticking them both next to each other for a couple of shots smile So once I'd got plenty of Daves car a quick line up was setup smile

This image made it into last years MX5Nutz calender too (wahoo)

Could be twins by PGDesigns.co.uk, on Flickr

And how the interior looks (taken at Pistonheads Yorkshire Big Breakfast October 2011 at Specialist Cars, Malton)

Thanks to DanielJames for taking this picture thumbup

Just to say I simply adore this car. One day I'll need to concentrate on aesthetics more than power and maybe it'll look as good as yours. I'd love love love a full respray. Suffice to say, your car is now my desktop wallpaper, which replaced my own 5 seen here:

Thanks for adding that mate smile

I've seen bits of your car, build and videos over on Nutz, your certainly pulling the numbers out of that setup! It must go very well indeed! Good work smile

Close up of the front brake setup when I'd just replaced the Rotor's, shame they need replacing again now though

I've had to resort to getting the Rotor's made up by Hi Spec Motorsport as I couldn't find any to match all the measurements. Any better ideas very welcome smile

Think I'll go for Plain discs this time too, and continue to use the 'Roddison Motorsport' pads

Rotor measurements are:

More old news, but here's a better picture of the home-made turbo head shield. (strut brace about to be re-fitted)

It's made from a sheet of Aluminium (1.5mm thick I think) cut with a jigsaw with the curved formed by bending it over a scafold bar propped against the garden wall.

Part way into the Wire tuck/clean up operation..

Been out experimenting with the camera and a friends 'rig' too, here's the result:

your pictures really are brilliant, loving that last one.

I'm also very jealous of your wire tuck, it doesn't half make a big difference, i was snuffling round that part of the engine bay for 4 hours last night fitting a coolant reroute before Blyton this weekend so i am very well aware of how many wires i have in my car and how badly they are routed/tidied.

I understand what a wire tuck is, and admire the results. but where do you physically put all the wires? (because for a turbo conversion, there are a lot)

Cheers Greg - the Photography is another hobby of mine which I'm working on. Always good to hear the results are going down well smile

The Wire tuck, On the passenger side I've put the loom behind the wing, there's plenty of room for it and I haven't had to change the length of any of the wires. Drivers side the loom is still inside the engine bay, just rerouted so the loom tucks up under the lip to the wing. Then drops down under the headlight motor as opposed to down the side of the suspension turret.

The tuck also involves picking out what you dont really need it there too. Such as the many wires seen in the messy picture above, they aren't in use and would have been for the AC.

What pads did you specify? Ie fit tamer and size? I have the same calipers but don't have a clue what to order!

it looked like you were having fun. good photos again.

Was it mainly a ma5da bun fight, or were there plenty of other cars there?

There was a large group of Max5 race cars (thats different to Ma5da cars wink ) I was with. And yes there was a good selection of other cars there too, from Ginetta's, caterfields, BMW's etc etc..

This is genuinely beautiful, by far the nicest Mx5 I've ever seen. So is there any chance of a higher res version of the Autumn photo? 1920x1200 stretches it a bit on my desktop wink.

I'm still not sure what you mean there tbh. I'll get pads which fit in the calipers, am I able to specify more than that?

Many thanks for adding that. I'm shocked so many people have said its the nicest MX5 they have seen, I really am..

Make me an offer for the high res image if you like ideabiggrin

I'm not sure about sending out images in that sort of resolution tbh as they could be printed from that... Hmm, its something for me to have a think about. I have a new website in the pipeline, maybe a 'desktop' images section should be included?

One more photo for you.. From this months Yorkshire PH meet smile

Oh yeah, no worries there that's completely understandable. But yeah, that'd be great. A centered desktop image just doesn't do it justice.

Hmmm, that's not very public spirited of you old boy

I'm quite certain his intention is not to make millions from your IP but just to honour your photography/car by putting it on his computer desktop. it's a bit uncharitable in my book
