Assuming this is FWD like my S60 T5 (which has 250bhp) is there really any more point in giving in any more power, given that within legal speeds, it can only just put down it's power as it is? I mean second gear goes to 65mph, and it's hit and miss weather it'll spin the wheels even in the dry in second. Third gear (I calculate) will take the car to about a ton so if you you can't get grip at those speeds...
It's all about the motorway roll on pulls against other cars my old 855 was fking awesome, fully stripped and caged between 300-330bhp but 200kgs lighter than standard it was just insane how quick it would get from
50-100 100-150 however 0-50 was a struggle for traction even with 225 section fronts and care with throttle. Span in third in the wet at 70mph ......

More power isn't always good, but most of the time it is brilliant biggrin
Exactly yes
Well said Jacko, it is all about the roll-on.

Lovely car Andrew, I'm a big fan of these yes
Sold mine a year ago, and regretted it straight away frown

Thanks for all the positive comments.
I did think of anthracite but decided that it was too dark and I wanted a dark silver as to be different from everybody else.
Agreeded 250 bhp is enough in fwd but when you have friends with 300+hp fiesta's and 200sx's and a mate who has a 579bhp focus and yes it is still fwd this feels slow which I know it ain't but you can get close to 300 fairly cheaply so that will be the goal.
I wanted it slightly lower but the only way to do that is either to chop the springs or fit coilovers but due to a collapsed disc in my back I just went for the springs and damper way as it kills me to go in friends car that are running coilovers even though you can adjust them to softer and change the springs but then that costs more money and to get descent coilovers that are adjustable for height and damping your looking at spending around £1000 which I would rather spend on other tuning parts than suspension.
Yep they aren't too bad to insure with business insurance mine was £500 fully comp with 20+ years driving and yes no points (off to touch wood) and it's due shortly so see what it is this year.

Fair play on the wheels.

As for lowering........ Can see your point. £1500 on coilovers would buy you another car

On the subject of insurance...

I've just picked up a V70R (in Saffron of course) it's costing me £500 full comp to insure. I'm 40, with 4 years NCD and the car is kept on a drive. This was from Admiral and was somewhat better than the 1k the previous insurers wanted.
