Lovely. I happen to know of an E30 that is being made into a track machine here in Dubai. If I ever get the time to go and see the progress being made I will try and get some pictures.

Well 2 out of 3 ain't bad... the Watson and Jagermeister cars are up and running strongly but the Marlboro car was suffering overheating issues - after a quick test it was apparent it was a cracked block and I take the blame for not getting the block crack tested before building the car. Annoying set back, more in time than cost.

The chap that sold it to me knew it was cracked imho... not that I can ever prove it. Your card is marked....

Bit of a thread resurrection, but a question for you Tom - do the M3s run standard E30 rear trailing arms? If so, what do you do on them for camber and toe adjustment? The E28 setup is the same as a (basic) E30, and I need to find a solution...

The solution on a standard E30 can be seen here,

whether this works on a E28 I know not.

ETA,

This would suggest that it does.

That's a camber correction kit though, no? Gives you adjustment to get a lowered car back to standard geometry, but doesn't allow for adding more.

VAC Motorsport do a kit that allows for adjustment.

Camber:

These weld on mounts replace the inboard semi-trailing arm pickup points and allow user adjustment of Camber.
Optimum camber for a given tire and driving scenario is very important for control; being a determining factor in both forward and lateral grip by allowing the chassis to fully utilizing the tires forward and lateral traction.

Toe:

These weld on mounts replace the outboard semi-trailing arm pickup points and allow user adjustment of Toe.
Normally used in addition to the adjustable camber kit, Toe settings can be used to aid in achieving the desired rear-end behavior of the car; adding more stability or giving a loser feeling, as well as insuring proper tire life.
Each Full Kit Includes:
Correct Adjustment brackets
Eccentrics
OEM BMW Bolts & Nuts for best reliability and adjustability

What do you want to do. Add more with a standard ride height?

Add more negative camber and more toe than you'd otherwise get at a lowered height.

I'm surprised you'd want to add more negative camber.

thanks Mark - I was told these are anodized this colour. Was going to try to match for my e9 build but opted for simplicity and speed to stay with black.

cheers

Funnily enough, my STACK dash display arrived today and I was thinking of painting the mounting panel red as a nod to the old factory set-up.
