The weights are balanced hydraulically, so you get even weights consistently side to side without any real effort. Even if you want to work diagonally it's a good starting point and idea, as you can fit ball valves to either side and save yourself some time, and fluid.

Thanks Jim - I was going to do just that - using a brass Y-piece and an extra "low loss" union. In fact I had not intended in individualising the hydragas spheres on my car (although I have hydraulic lock downs to fit) - so such a hydraulic set up should reveal identical hydraulic pressures to all four spheres from one pump sequence?Jim.
