I brought this last Saturday, it's a 2002 4.6iS in Estoril Blue with only 74,000 on the clock, she is a bit juicy (19 mpg) but only to be expected, but the sound of that V8 through those exhausts is fantastic and considering the weight of it, it shifts, 0-60 6.3 secs, 347 bhp, an absolute bargain for £6500, more pictures to follow when I stop driving it for 2 seconds and take some
;)

Nice, my mum has a 2003 BMW X5 4.4i which I love but not quite as quick as yours as I think it should have 280bhp.

That's a bit harsh. Seems like a good price for a 4.6, and it's quite a lot of car! I like it anyway!

£6500 sounds a lot of money for a huge petrol engined car. I would've thought it would be cheaper as most people with these are keen to get rid, what with high running costs etc. I knew someone who bought an 4 litre petrol 2001 with 100K on it for less than £3K.

Looks good and if you're happy with it then good luck.

Fortunately the last owner had just put 4 new tyres on it as the rears are 315/35/20 at a cost of about £350 each

This sort of logic always baffles me.. Should a Ferrari Enzo only be worth a couple of grand? Or a Rolls Royce Phantom? No. A car is worth what people are willing to pay, and the fact of the matter is that a 4.6 X5 is still worth good money (more than a 4.4, as they're rarer and more powerful). After a quick eBay, the cheapest 4.6 I can find is up for sale for £6500, so OP, regardless of what some people may say, it looks like you got a good deal.

Hell of a car for 6k!

I can see the fast ones fairing far better in this economy than the small engined petrol versions, the really cheap ones usually have a crappy spec or intergallactic mileage.

Enjoy, just dont wear the tyres out too quickly eh!

Can you elaborate? I thought it was an M-tuned engine, not a 'Pina?

Great looking car for the money OP, can't understand those who think that's not good value... odd.

E39 B10 V8 Engine

I love these, the colour, wheels and exhausts make them look awesome.

Seem to sound so good too compared to 540i's etc.

I don't think they are actually as quick as paper says, but still - enough for something of the size!
