omgus said: Yep. I'm not a fan of replicas, but I am a fan of a project like this where looks are a result of performance mods. Although I agree about the thick spoked wheels looking better. But it's still trying to be a Ferrari and the looks are not as a result of performance mods. Good work, I like it.

I really like this Normally, I absolutely detest Ferrari/Lambo replicas with a passion. But with what you are doing I think the end result will be genius, a kind of 'built my own mid engine V8 supercar' type of thing. Great stuff. Look forward to seeing it finished

None at all. It's sitting on the drive waiting for an engine and time to spend on it. Think the garage will get built before this does.
C'est la vie.

Had a bit of time on Sunday so broke out the grinder to see if i can get this puppy to sit somewhere near in the subframe. The diff is causing issues to get it where i want it without chopping too much strength out of it.
I'm tempted to build my own subframe that uses the gearbox integrally.
It's that or go up and over with the strengthening on it.
Next weekend should get a full day on it and make some decisions.

Purchase of a thirsty 928 and a wanting of drive space have made me re-assess so the shell is now up for sale with wheels etc.
PM me if you want more info etc but it's going cheap.
I'll be doing the conversion again at some point but on a normal Mk2 instead i think.

I know, bit disappointed myself but the lack of garage just means it's taking up space at the minute.
Will get a new 928 thread up the now.
