Very nice finally decided one getting one of these in September as insurance seems so reasonable and seem to be able to get them around the 4k mark.
Just hope I can manage to get a test drive on one at 20yrs old...

i was 19 and walked into a dealer and tried on out, i think they were reluctant at first but i got a go on one! Then second time round i looked at this one and had no problems.

Think the insurance was about 1400 on a standard car when i was 20 ( 2 years driving 2yrs ncb )

Okay thanks worth a try then will look at one nearer the time already ran a mk6 fiesta before albeit a 1.4 ghia and even that was a laugh so imagine these are a real hoot to drive.
And yeah I have a good postcode here at university got quoted £900 aged 20 with 2yr ncb and 3 points comp which is only £200 more than my 1.4 ZR and nearly £500 less than a 182 Clio hence me going for the fiesta.

Not keeping it much longer then?
Or do you mean the power mods you are doing?
How does it affect insurance out of interest as first thing I was going to do was a miltek flex and a k&n 57i as is meant to be good for a 15bhp increase combined

Keeping it for now, would like to move out before the next car purchase! So just doing mods along the way but going to stop after the exhaust!
Well i think my insurance is about 100quid more a year with everything on it, would say it would go up by the same amount youll have to enquire! Good easy mods for better power though those two smile

I went there a few years ago on the zetecs.com stand but it's quite a way for me so doubt it, are you going?

I went last year and am going this year again on an ST stand. thumbup i'm not that far away from it so its easy for me!

Yes and i did hear about the homesafe but never tried it, if i need lights i just dab the open button and the sidelights provide adequate lighting hehe

Lovely looking ST.

I love mine and can't recommend the MT185 kit enough, really makes the car come alive tbh.

On the ST they is various dyno proof that a good full exhaust including manifold and a decent air filter can gain you an easy 15bhp or 20bhp if remapped to suit

Well as everwhere other Fiesta ST dyno'd with a full miltek and a k&n has made 163+bhp and stock STs dyno around 145 - 150 then yes he should have a 15bhp gain or 20 if mapped to suit unless he has a whole in the exhaust its commmon knowledge on these cars that the air box and exhaust manifold are highly restrictive as standard so that ford could help keep the insurance group down for younger drivers.

Finally got the exhaust fitted today, what a difference! Have only done a couple miles since but throttle response is much sharper and really picks up quick now! Its not the loudest exhaust out there but my opt for a non-resonanted pipe in the future wink

Really pleased with the fact it manages to sit bang on in the middle of the hole too, perfect!
Some lads can have problems with it hanging to high or too low ( stop sniggering at the back there! )

Will report back when i've done an ecu reset so it can re-learn Air:fuel mixtures!

but for now driving
