The lad is young, it's his first car. If he is happy doing these mods who are we to judge? It's definitely not my cup of tea and when I was 18 I was faffing around with carbs and had dreams of trying to fit a five speed gearbox to replace my four speeder and replace my steels with some slightly wider steels. I am curious about the insurance though, there is no way on Gods green earth you are paying £450 a year to insure that at your age (a month maybe?).

How come whenever some one wants to make their car individual and stand out, they do the same stuff to it that everybody else does?
And fully comp insurance, at 18 with 3 points for £450? What's the story there?

Seconding the no way is your insurance £450. If it is I bet it's dodgy as f k. Subtle mods are the way forward. Few mm drop, some SXI alloys and some professional tints should be more than enough to look different but decent. This shape Corsa can look good when done right.

Yes subtlety and taste. They are both lacking in this project. The lights and the sticker need to go I'm afraid. The wheels are chavvy too. I'd be looking for a nice VXR leather interior, have fun with it. But don't make yourself look embarrasing. Whatever you are planning next you really need to speak to somebody sane before seeing it through. Hopefully they can guide you through these young and impressionable times. With the right coaching I'm sure all the grunch ? whatever magnet will come your way. Good luck and may God be with you.

+1 on the insurance. No way are you paying 450 quid a year at your age with 3 points, plus, whenever have mods made insurance go DOWN, not a chance........so, is it mum or dad named as the main driver??
As for the car, looks ok, much the same as every other Corsa D that's attempted to be individual. The lights though are awful, truly awful!

Come on guys It isnt that bad. Maybe instead of instantly mocking the boy maybe we should try and educate him in some PH stylee?
If your 17-21 its easy to get caught up in wanting big wheels before a bigger engine.
Cars ok, although stick with some 16" wheels and better brakes, suspension and a good setup for a much more fun car.

As Long as he's having fun who's to tell him otherwise?!
Use this as a learning experience :-)
Sxi wheels would be nice but like the all black look.

Sxi wheels would be nice but like the all black look. No-one. But surely the quicker he realises the error of his ways, the better. Like people telling him that the wheels/lights/sticker/grill/tints like a chav piece of crap. Also, 'cheaper for mods', yeah right.

I agree with the statement above, its really not that bad,
Yes agreed, the sticker is crap, but wheels, lights etc, its his first car!! Jesus if I look back at my first car it is cringe worthy, however I wouldnt change it or anything I did as its a learning curve. I appreciate what I have now far more and enjoyed the modding along the way.
Coilover's will make a massive difference, look forward to the pics...

Have you got a "Phat" exhaust yet? I believe it is diesel, I suppose he could get a stick on tail pipe to make it unique...oh wait...it won't be unique cos thats what ever chav up and down the UK has done.

I'm not going to post the picture as it is very embarrassing and I have a mullet in it. But. I have a confession to make, when I was 18, I had black headlamp covers on my 1300LX Delta to make it look like an HF4wd. Yes we all walk a winding road...
