Out of interest, what sort of insurance quotes are you getting now following the claim?
Not even checked, I would have thought they will sting me. My current policy runs until end of this year anyway so anything I buy will just mean a small increase in premium. Next year it will probably go bazerk!

seems like a pretty obvious thing to say, but make sure you pay tax on anything you make a profit on over your allowance.

Seems pointless if your on a small scale operation but a friend of mine started selling a car a month, making a grand a month profit to supplement his income and within 4 months the HMRC were crawling all over him.

he paid about £200 tax which considering the high roller tax todging MP's are tax dodging left right and centre is buttons.
Of course its not worth the risk!

cheers guys hard to make out what The insurance is I had my policy running until December and have reinstated it after the GTR being written off and it was £84 extra! I looked at a few F430's but I didnt want to stretch myself I want to be able to trade a few other cars as well. Been out for a great drive thinking of taking the day off work tomorrow to clay it and get some protection on it.... The motor trade has seemed very slow this week so may aswell make the most of it!

Still for sale...how can any money have been made on this particular vehicle?
Car is for sale but I still don't want to sell it yet really unless someone offered me full money. I am planning a Nurburgring trip in the car around June so want the full enjoyment out of it! I still havent even thought of a replacement for it anyway yet! To be honest I have lost some enthusiasm for cars at the moment I suppose its from working with cars everyday mixing business with pleasure too much maybe.... I have just taken the Ferrari out of my Grans garage where I stored it whilst I was away and got a good drive out on Wednesday with the roof down!

Got a few issues to fix on the Ferrari, the bonnet catch has suddenly started playing up and the windscreen wipers arent working, I assume its electrical related will be getting on with that at the weekend! I wont bring up the Ferrari thread as I said before I was only interested in this forum for sharing the car not being mullered by people about finances so I dont tend to post anymore under reccomendation by others I ll keep myself to myself now....

I have been away on holiday in Thailand and Cambodia for the past 6 weeks and just spotted this thread has been dragged up again.
