Well after selling my RS4 cabriolet so quickly and doing so well with it I managed to step into one of my ultimate wants! I have had it a couple of weeks now only just got round to giving it a quick wash and polish. I am totally smitten with the car and I know I always say this but I am going to keep this car for 6 months at least I have even bought a private plate with my initials that is waiting to be transfered! The car exceeded my expectations. I had never even been in one before and this came up at a bargain literally within 24 hours of selling the RS4 so I snapped it up. The way this thing accelerates, handles and stops is incredible yet it is so civilised to drive around town in Auto! Love it!!!

The car is a 2009 GTR black edition in Kuro Black with 19,000 on the clock. 1 owner car owned by a retired chap prior to me. All I have done so far is spent a good few hours polishing the exhaust tips and a quick protection detail including de tar, iron X and clay. It had some stains in the paint from bird poo that had baked on but I soon made them dissapear.

Anyone considering one of these do it, I cannot think of what car I could have next that could better it without spending 5 times as much!

Plans:

Full correction detail
Private plate (hopefully be on this week)
Stage 1 Litchfield remap Y-Pipe and 2012 gearbox update (makes the 0-60 2.8 seconds!!!)
Couple of wheels have slight scuffs so need attention to be perfect
Doing the Asda Bruntingthorpe charity day in August so may get the front clear wrapped for protection

I've just been looking at your recent threads, I was on track of the M5 one but for some reason forgot about it. I should hopefully be going to Uni in September to start my Business Management course and I have to say you are a massive inspiration to me. Well done !!

How old are you now OP, about 17? smile

Not meant to be rude by the way, I'm genuinely impressed and a tad jealous. That's a lovely looking car so please try to keep it a while so we actually get an update on how it drives and what it's like to live with in the mid-longterm!

Ps. what's the next car on your hit list, I bet you've got one?

Nice motor.

What's the format of the plate you've bought? 2x2?

Its hard to work out the quote I paid £800 odd (10 month bonus accelerator policy) on the RS4 had that two months and to change the policy to the GTR for the last 8 months was £686 I think with my favourite Admiral of course!

22 now and just finished uni had my last exam yesterday been a busy few months working full time as well as finishing my degree but at least I can focus on my career now! I have not had any major consideration about next car yet as I am going to be buying a property soon so money I am earning will be for a house deposit... If things continue to go well with my business a red F430 spider by Christmas would be nice... dreaming but its the big targets that seem to drive me to work so hard!
