Perhaps they weren't trying to fleece me, I'll never know, but I still don't think its very professional to let your dogs in your customers cars. And they advised me not to drive it and I had driven it for probably 200 miles and it was OK.

I'd be very interested to know the name of the garage. You haven't accused them of anything untoward so no "shaming" required.
