Go on FiestaSTOC for the for sale section. Brilliant, I will look into it!

Go on FiestaSTOC for the for sale section. That sounds like a dam good deal. My point was that for example VW golf owners pay a huge premium to say they have G60 280mm discs/calipers where as "sensible" people go and buy the same parts from Seat for a fraction of the price so by applying the same logic surely there must be plenty of parts shared on a ST fiesta with other models that are more readily available and potentially enough of them to find in scrap yards. That or the OP can get creative with eg Mazda parts as well in order to create something a little more unusual.

All you have to do is look back to the 50s/60s when British car making was what it no longer unfortunately is: Ford had the Cortina, the Anglia, the Zephyr/Zodiac, which were all successful in one or more forms of motorsport. MG had the Magnette, the MGB, the Midget (the Magnette being the only car really worthy a mention due to its pleasant styling and ability to stay with MG's own brand sports cars along an A road), and all these models competed also. However look to today: other than V8 Supercars in Oz and the occaisional Ford GT running, what do we have? Some ruddy front wheel drive Focus (if you count that other Chinese abomination an MG remove the rose-tinted spectacles). Both manufacturers put across arguments as marketing to petrolheads with the "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" ethos in the 60s, but only one has carried that on today, a true petrolhead's brand IMO..
