Anyway, they're a good company at what they do. I thought the Fiat one looked quite good - but since that badge is off a Punto from the early 2000s by the looks of it, it's probably worth more than the car now.

Rather than gold plating, which I would be concerned about the durability of in context of wheels, how about anodising? Its perfectly possible to anodise titanium, niobium and aluminium with a reflective finish not at all dissimilar to actual gold plate, except very durable.

How or where can do this any ideas? Also many thanks for your help guys...finally chose goldgenie.co.uk and they put me in touch with an agent to gold plate my 19 range rover "Gulzar" letters, both exhaust ends gold plated and side vents to be gold plated probably all done by end of next week!

How or where can do this any ideas? This company do gold anodising, might be worth inquiring. I can't tell you whether their services would be suitable so it may be best to speak with them, but from my understanding you can achieve a quite authentic gold colour without dying aluminium if a natural acid process is used for the oxide coating. Then it would be a case of lacquering the wheels to ensure the shine and to protect from corrosion- the same with any alloy, really. I've not got any experience with anodised aluminium but I'm quite familiar with its use on titanium and niobium, and in both cases you get a very damage-resistant coating (its used on things like motorbike or mountain bike sprockets, suspension components by people like KW and Ohlins, and in all manner of other things like dental implants where an impact- and corrosion-resistant surface is required) I didn't know (as the poster above suggests) that you need billet in order for anodising to settle on aluminium, but I'm not sure that would be an issue as the HRE forged wheels are billet and I think the monoblocks you are looking at are forged.
