hello,

you are correct it is a proper clio v6 cup car, the focus is a 4 wheel drive subaru engined rally car, both are owned by my friend who owns the workshop he lets me share the shed to keep the toys in, i think the ayc should just work the same as it did but if its no good will swap the diff for a mechanical one, i will be changing the rear lights after a trip to a breakers yard for some standard ones

thanks Will

Hello,

Im still working on this slowly as also doing a house renovation at the same time, as far as the v5 goes im going to get it finished then have it checked make a few calls to make sure its legit, im looking for some bucket seats at the mo and need a set of road legal tyres, iv had a go at rolling the wheel arches out to take the wheels as still unsure on what to do with arches with regards to fitting a body kit etc

I know you can buy a arch rolling tool but i just fancied a go at it myself just using what i had in the workshop and it hasent come out bad but i think i need to cut the back bumper and strech it a bit at each end

thanks for looking Will

Hi Andy

The mini looks like a properly nice build a nice bit lighter than mine and like you say same sort of idea go light and fast with a proven tuneable engine, what sort of time scale has the build taken you

Thanks Will

Hi bud....Great work on the car, genuinely one off idea. smile

Just wondering if youve sorted anyone to do your mapping work on the car?? Im from a company based in Mexbrough Rotherham, we specialise in evo's and have built / mapped a lot of high powered cars for customers ( currently working on a 800+ evo 8 build ), and i personally own a C2 GT turbo doing 347bhp@1.4 bar on the origional 1.6 engine. Id love to be involved in some work on this car for you.

James
Hello thanks for the enquiry james with regards to mapping for my last evo 5 i used jamie@evotune in Durham to remap the standard ecu,the guy i bought the evo 4 from said that jamie@evotune also mapped the evo4 i cut up but i was planning on getting it checked out when i get the car finished, have you got any contact detials for the company,

Hello thanks for the replys I have tried magnum motorsport already I saw the car at a rally cross event and thought that's just what I need but it was going to work out too expensive, iv stopped the arches catching now it was a bracket holding the front wings on that were doing most of the damage they are well trimed now, a couple of pictures of the car now it does look tatty paint work but that will come good in the end one day I will fabricate some arches and have it painted but it works well as it now

thanks Will

hello thanks for the comments I will just make my own arches , I can make it wider track than it already is using evo 5 sub frame as they were wider than evo 4 and use some different offset wheels , using a evo 4 was ideal as they are a lot cheaper and dam near same floor plan but narrower track to make it easyer to get under a c2, iv not yet weighed the car but I need too, iv also not raced anyone in it, over winter I will be taking engine out to do clutch and replace the gaskets as it does weep a tiny bit of oil so fancy giving it a rebuild and a few fancy parts into it

thanks will

Thank you sir, it will be one of last times out this year before a winter rebuild and tidy up, bit of a shame about the rain and the flood of police presence, but I understand why after the crash last time.

A bit of work in progress fitting a super1600 kit,

Removal of the old rear quarters

Trial fitting the fibre glass

Inner arch fabricated to meet up to fibreglass

The kit is dwarfing the wheels at the min but it will come good in the end,
Thanks Will

hi was thinking of painting it red or white or the blue it is now as I quite like the colour, red as it was works rally car colour and the white was if it ever got stickered up anything goes with the white and then you always pull the stickers off and leave it blank

thanks will
