Hello,
I been running the c2 a bit but the bumpers are catching the tyres very slightly and im thinkin of a super 1600\maxi kit for the car does anyone know or have any contacts for a senisble priced kit for a c2, im hoping to paint the car so would be a time to fit a wide kit
many thanks Will
What about getting the arches rolled and stretched some, a decent bodyshop would be able to do that and may not even need a respray.I been running the c2 a bit but the bumpers are catching the tyres very slightly and im thinkin of a super 1600\maxi kit for the car does anyone know or have any contacts for a senisble priced kit for a c2, im hoping to paint the car so would be a time to fit a wide kit

Speak to Andy Knowles (based near Warrington) about body kits. He has one on his RallyCross car and makes them

Hello thanks for the replys I have tried magnum motorsport already I saw the car at a rally cross event and thought that's just what I need but it was going to work out too expensive, iv stopped the arches catching now it was a bracket holding the front wings on that were doing most of the damage they are well trimed now, a couple of pictures of the car now it does look tatty paint work but that will come good in the end one day I will fabricate some arches and have it painted but it works well as it now
thanks Will
thanks Will
If you were put off by the price of the body kit for the Maxi style, then you might want to give up on the idea now. As I m sure you know most of the cost is in all the mechanical modifications to wide-track it properly (i.e. not just with wheel spacers) - suspension components, drive shafts, etc. Given yours already has extra girth, have you calculated what would be needed?
Personally I have found Andy to be very reasonable on cost for the composite parts he makes in comparison to some other manufacturers. The only other firm I can think of to try is Ramsport in North Wales

hello thanks for the comments I will just make my own arches , I can make it wider track than it already is using evo 5 sub frame as they were wider than evo 4 and use some different offset wheels , using a evo 4 was ideal as they are a lot cheaper and dam near same floor plan but narrower track to make it easyer to get under a c2, iv not yet weighed the car but I need too, iv also not raced anyone in it, over winter I will be taking engine out to do clutch and replace the gaskets as it does weep a tiny bit of oil so fancy giving it a rebuild and a few fancy parts into it
thanks will
thanks will
